Faith on one side, and Bravery/Courage/Virtue on the other. I was undecided if it should be poor or common quality, so I said to myself 1-4 for poor, 5-9 for common, and 10 for good. And what should come up but a 10. So it's actually a shiny chainsword; it is a paradise world, after all, the criminal underclass probably steals a lot of good stuff.Block wrote:So out of character that translates as what?

Well, If you wanted to go for the 'Feral Warrior' alternate guard rank (I'm not entirely sure why that's an alternate rank, it's quite adequately handled in the origins, I'd say, but hell, it's a useful option) in the IHB, melee-chain is in the third rank for 100XP.
Also, silly Scar. Eviscreation is nothing compared to the cyber-conversion-sans-anaestetic he'd get from the Mechanicus.

A proper response to Merc's query of the shrine, and all those questions, will be quite complex, but I'll do it as soon as I can. For now, I really should get some sleep.
Also! Yay! Mindscrub. If Merc manages to arrange that, and gets himself killed, you know who the replacement character will very likely resemble for the rest of the party!

Incidentally, what are the qualities of the laspistol and mono-knife that Mercurius took from the Heretek? I assume from the description that the laspistol has the compact upgrade, and since Mercurius already has a laspistol will be passing it onto some party member in need of a sidearm, but not if it's liable to blow up and take their hand off.

Yes, the map has 'bawdy houses' labelled. It is a paradise world, even if you are on the shitty bit.

Yeah I was worried we weren't seeming vicious enough to pass as Ecclesiarchy thugs. It's just that live prisoners are so much more useful than corpses, if less convenient in the short run. It's also much easier to shoot someone later than un-shoot them.
We'll just have to have some mass public executions after we find the rest of the people responsible for this situation to remedy that.
As a side note, it's sad when you're off doing something totally unrelated and suddenly realize, "Oh, shit, we didn't check to see if that heretic was supposed to be reporting in on a regular basis!"

I've been watching a lot of the old batman series lately, and I thought I should share this with you. While writing that last post, I had the image of the batman swirly-scene-change thing; but with an Imperial Eagle instead of a bat symbol stuck in my mind.

That's what you think. You're about to go up to a heretic lair, labelled 'heretic lair' with heretics in those hooded robes casually hanging around outside. Also, you're henceforth obliged to type in font size twenty...
ZONK!!
Or something to that effect with each attack.
Anyway. Your map.
The bar is a bar. It's full of very expensive drinks, with a bartender, and 2d3 standard wenches in high class clothes. The drug-store sells what seem to be (legal?) drugs of various flavours. The tables have chairs, but I couldn't be bothered putting them on. The dancefloor is presumably that, though no one is dancing, and the pulpit appears suitable for hectoring the locals as to their worthlessness, giving lectures, or perhaps, playing subversive musics. The whole front is open, though there are metal shutters for the night, or for stormy weather. There's a canvas awning that extends onto the street.

Humm. I don't think so, thus, it's up to you. I got the impression you left, after locking it down. I'd want in on the action were I you. The tower keeps logs, remember, so it's unlikely you'll lose anything by not being there, unless a heretic shows up and bombs the place.Lancer wrote:So, did we ever decide if I was at the auspex tower providing recon, or another set of hands to shoot stuff with?

'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

Also WH you’re more jammy than a swiss roll. You rolled 007 on a free psyniscience roll, and 10 on the power roll. Are you sure Ajax isn’t some sort of Eldar warlock in cunning disguise?
