Okay, 1 to 4 PM Saturday, the usual place.

I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't worried about the lack of communication with CorSec and Marcao since two weeks ago. If you're not going to show up, please tell me in advance. If not, I might just wet myself in retaliation.

Sorry, Art (and everyone else). I don't start getting really geared up for the next session until a couple of days before hand. Then I remember, OH yeah! I haven't checked the thread! Which reminds me...I need to favoritize it so I know when someone else posts...

I was right. That was a great session (at least I thought so). I should have been expecting a bloodbath when I thought up the beggar city, but I was still shocked by the unnecessary violence. You guys are the most morally bankrupt group I've ever GMed. Not saying that like a reprimand, just saying... :)

The patrol was really cllose. That was the first point you could have brought all hell down on your heads, but you slipped away instead of blasting everything in sight. I enjoyed the tension.

But now there's a pissed off guard, cybered even past the point of M6-41. And even after that, the whole neighborhood will have called the cops after hearing a grenade go off and gunfire. I'm loving it!

My biggest fault as a GM has been to place players in situations where they're in no real danger, and this is the first time I've gone against that as long as I can remember. You guys are in some serious shit. And it will only get worse. Wootage!

Here is the chat log.

Oh, and everyone's character sheet has been uploaded. They're all up to the minute.

Hehe, I'm reading over the chat log, and found a quote that sums up the way I GM pretty nicely.

It's all your fault. You know what a murderous bastard Ernesto is. You send him into a situation when he's obviously wound tighter than... ... than something that's wound really really tight. What did you expect? Hugs and puppies?

Right, because the only other alternative to shooting unarmed hobos is "hugs and puppies" :P

Realized during the session that I had forgotten to update character sheets to reflect new values for armor and weapons, so I did now. Also, I had decided earlier to move a bunch of major skills to minor, but I didn't want to make major changes mid-stream. However, since it will entail only the giving of XP and not the taking away, I don't see a problem with it. So let's see...

Ernesto freed up 82 XP. He already had 92 unspent, so now he has 172 XP to play around with!

Jack freed up a whopping 175 XP. He already had 9 unspent, so now he has 184 to play with!

M6-41 freed up 86, leaving him with 87 available.

Xak freed up 70, leaving him with 106 available.

The new character sheets reflecting this are already uploaded.

Yes, I'd have to say that live, 3D Janeway porn for non-threatening homeless is probably a new moral low for this campaign :D

Spent and spent. I figure persuasion skills will come in real handy when the cops show up, so that's what I improved. If I hadn't, it would have been like that one Family Guy episode: Peter farts in the elevator, and looks around sheepishly. Then he points to the other guy and says, "Uh, you did it."

Or this one:

Peter: Until you put Gumble to Gumble back on the air, I am on a hunger strike. How do you like that on your conscience?

...silence...

...silence....

Peter: You gonna eat that stapler?

I'll make the change as soon as I have net access (hopefully today). I had to move this weekend and fate has been conspiring to keep me from getting net access.

Anyway, I'll be at my dad's this coming weekend so no game this Saturday. The next one I'll be celebrating my birthday (22nd) by going to a Styx / REO Speedwagon concert. So we might be in for a wait until next game :(

Ah hells yeah, that's gonna rock. Not necessarily that you'll be 22 (hell, all the important birthdays have already passed, you should just stop counting), but that we get to go see Styx and REO Speedwagon.

So let's see, that means the next available game time is September 4-5. I know Corsec won't be there, but I hope everyone else is. *peers at Marcao*

Just a quick question: Given the nature of this new found XP are we allowed to purchase merits that state they can only be taken at character creation?

Hmm, that's a very good question. My gut reaction would be no.

Given a second to think about it, it might be ok, as long as said merit/flaw didn't severely alter your character's concept/philosophy (e.g. taking Telepath. "Look, ma, I do psionics now!"). But then again, I'm not GMing this campaign, so Art's got the final say.

Depends on what you're wanting to take.

If memory serves, this weekend CorSec won't be able to make it. I could step into Jack's shoes, but I have a feeling the next session will be important, so I don't want CorSec to miss it. So plan on a game either Saturday or Sunday, Sept. 11/12.

Not sure what happened to any plans this weekend (08/28-29). As GP guessed this is the weekend I work (09/3-5) but will be off the following weekend (09/10-12). Last I checked, Jack was unconscious - and will be for 2 minutes in-game time. It *should* be more than enough time for you hombres to at least man-handle the security guard. (If not, then you all are teh suq!) I have absolute faith in GP's ability to play as Jack (only when he's unconscious though ;) ). So long as he's not killed or maimed... okay, maimed wouldn't disturb me too much considering what's coming... just don't get him dead.
