Anyway, it's general sort of magic. Healing, killing, all sorts of things. Most users are extremely limited. Healing people is enough to take it out of them real quick. Some nifty stuff with strengthening and preserving materials.
Living weapons that are more of less primitive artilerry. I'm not going to be touching the uberweapons and with the population leves I have there won't be many to train for that anyway.
About 1% or so of the population.
Because the magic is limited by them seeing the "threads" of the magic they're all suck with visual range stuff.

You realize of course, that you will have to take the intermittent city states, and actually work to maintain your massive suply lines right? Well... if not for combat, it's merely going to be monetarily expensive to produce. I am going to be using it for combat, so my army is smaller. It's only going to be about 21 regiments in strength, and I'll have no navy. The smaller army also has other reasons behind it though.Rogue 9 wrote:Well I don't want to use it for combat, so if it's going to cost me combat regiments, it's not worth it.Beowulf wrote:Judging by the response I got from Thirdfain, yes. Of course I realise that. Then take another area, large portions of Europe are unclaimed and ripe for the taking. Though if you take Tunisia, you will undoubtably have the fixed attention, and support, of many states who seem very willing to try and stop my advance.Sea Skimmer wrote:I don't consider an empire consisting of Tunisia to be fixed.Pablo Sanchez wrote:

Stormbringer wants to vacate Northern Spain in return for more of France... I will then move into Northern Spain... and you will then move across North Africa. Not a difficult thing. We're sort of rotating in a clockwise fashion.

You will be amazed. This isnt like the other STGODs. fixed fortifications are deadly, and with the size of your army, you will have difficulty projecting your power, on the basis of supply lines alone.Straha wrote:Of course I realise that. Hell, your army may starve before the city does.
City states could hold against the might of Rome for months sometimes YEARS. And you must devote a significant amount of your troops, just to holding your vast tracts of land

My armies are right at the borders right now, this is a Jihad, and we've got a siege train behind us that will make cities wheep in terror. We start battering a small city with fire, oil, dieseased yak corpses, etc. and we don't need to wait for them to starve. ANd if we leave small groups behind in fortifications surrounding the city to prevent a break-out I can have the rest of the Army march on without any opposition.Alyrium Denryle wrote:You will be amazed. Siege trains didn't exist at this point in time. You almost always had to build anything you where going to use after you'd settled into the siege, and even then the catapults simply didn't have the ability to smash down walls, and battering rams and siege towers can be countered pretty easily. You also cannot simply leave a small group behind to contain a city, its a task that requires an entire army.Straha wrote: My armies are right at the borders right now, this is a Jihad, and we've got a siege train behind us that will make cities wheep in terror.
