Any word on Complete Arcane feats? Just having a gander at Transdimensional Spell, for the simple reason that it fits this char quite, quite well whether I get to use it much/ever or not. Let fluff reign supreme!

Like I said, no whole books are barred except for Munchkin d20. Ask and I'll consider it. As for Transdimensional Spell, I don't see a problem with it. Go ahead.

Would it be possible for us to use OpenRPG? I've had some very good experience with it, and forum battles are such a drag.

4d6 drop lowest on the stats. Standard HP generation, maximum at first level and the rest rolled normally.

While I'm thinking about Complete Arcane, are you alright with Draconic Heritage and its small family? Not sure I want to use that yet, but figured I'd ask.

Sure. It's a gateway feat, and keep in mind that I may veto certain other draconic feats, but Draconic Heritage itself and several of the other draconic feats I know I have no problem with.

Well, I'm not going to be the stat king of this group. Not that I'm disappointed (alright, I really wanted an 18 but I can live with it).

First 4 hitpoint rolls: 2, 2, 2, 1.

I'm fine Rogue 9. My hitpoints are dead average and with my level 4 bonus I have a 16 Con for 40 hitpoints. My Int is 16 (which is pretty good) and every wizard wants a higher Int so of course I wanted an 18. My worst number is an 8, going on the Charisma (after some thought), and everything else is 13 or higher.

But the 2, 2, 2, 1 did scare me. Fortunately the other two rolls were 4. I just wanted to share my fear.

Really, there aren't any special rules as such except in cases such as the unicorn, which will not accept any rider not a human or elven maiden.

Look under the entries for griffon, pegasus, hippogriff, and other rideable monsters for prices on a specimen trained to serve as a mount. If you can afford it out of your starting gold, kudos. Buy, spend the skill points on the relevant Ride skill, get the Mounted Combat feat if you plan to use the thing in battle, and enjoy.

Edit: Oh, and if you get a flying mount, familiarize yourself with the rules on aerial combat, found in the DMG.

Rogue, I played in Vampire campaigns run by The Dude and our mutual friend Steve (who is notorious for massively overpowered opposition). I've set my character up as a Zhentarim deserter. Do I expect opportunities for suckage. Oh yah baby, bring on the pain.

Funny, you're about to get a whole new kind of pain. I'm notorious for even underpowered opposition dealing out inordinate amounts of hurt because I know how to work the d20 combat system like you wouldn't believe.

Just don't let me near a dragon. I could have one four challenge ratings lower than the party level turn the party into lunch meat.
