Don't worry, Pcm, we'll take good care of Pater.

Okay, back! Nice hearty helpings of dead cow tissue that I would happily share if any of you were actually, y'know, here. I can see that the game has moved along at blinding speed since I was out, and it will perhaps take me a little bit to catch up. :P

btw the cat which is something that Lillith has obviously never seen before, is just a cat...

using the rule of inverse empathy. Which is that the cat will automatically adopt the least empathic person in the given area....

It's a dominance/aggression thing. Cats don't care for being looked in the eye, so they zero in on the person who ignores them the most.

Pater's such a wuss. He doesn't want to hear Prius' highly graphic descriptions of his intentions to decimate the entire arbites contingent on-station, and then string the bodies up throughout the corridors... and stuff like that.

I would almost have as much fun with my Spartan or SPQR chapter legionares, in this situation, scariest yet would be a detachment of my "Feathered Serpents" chapter... (Aztec marines, who have a fanatical love for the emporer)

Other space marines don't cut people's hearts out, or call him the "Great god Quetzcoutl, who shall return from the holy sun someday."

I would have you know that I am a cat person. Cats love me. I have t-shirts to that effect. It's your blankness, you pariah. You're screwing with its psyker powers.

On an side not, cat creatures are widely feared when I GM. There is a statistical aberration involving me and rolling anything for cat creatures. I tend to own the PCs.

Hrm. Cats have always tried to eat my pet rodents (and/or lagomorphs), so they've never appealed to me. I'm thinking of 'picking one up' (Metaphorically) in a few years.

Just watch, the cat will take to Prius. That'll be hilarious.

Briefly.

"Inquisitor, about that plasma pistol..."

"Here."

"Thank you."

ZAP.

I'm a cat person too. The Bride of Satan is mewing outside my bedroom door because she's not allowed in here. (Fragile stuff on high shelves+cat=broken fragile stuff)

Oh, and IO?

It's time we were honest with you. That "I love pussy and pussy loves me" shirt we sent you has a totally different meaning down in the states...

Petro that was good.

My actual shirt is a paraphrase of a Mark Twain quote. "Outside of a cat, a man's best friend is a book. Inside of a cat it is too dark to read."

cat's always did seem to be associated with strange powers, in some eastern myths they hunted demons at times...

also they always seemed to get a bad rep in western culture.

I like one bit in warhammer fantasy roleplay about how the inquistion killed cats, until they found out that cats hate nerglings and skaven.

and thus are great agents of the two detectors..

the fact that they creeply hangout and keep an eye one anything those skum do, is what draws attention.

IO- I had that quote printed up and hanging for a while.

YB- That is an interesting concept, what with the history of cats vis a vis the Black Death and so on.

The Rogue Trader book (1st edtion) has a gene engineered familiar type psyker cat called a gyrinx. Their cute and fluffy and give you nice stat and psyk bonuses.

Signs you're hanging on SDNet too much.

The system maintenance screen comes up and you say, for like the tenth night in a row, "Oh, it's five a.m. already?"

Okay, question. Does anybody know of an online list of psyker powers that isn't in the Living Rulebook? My dialup makes it a pain to browse through there.

(I know, I know, I need to just download the PDFs.)

(Equally odious would be going through the case o' gamebooks to determine where the damned Inquisitor rulebook is located.)

I need to go ahead and determine once and for all what Prius is capable of... I know he's got some evidently quite effective regenerative powers, as well as his danger sense+spatial awareness, and damn little beyond that.

3am here

also if you look at hindu myths

Cats are basically bound forms of Rakasha demons, former gods, turned demons, and like all Rakasha they feed off emotions, but cats were compelled to hunt other demons. (kinda like Gargoyles)
