THE RACIAL GODS: (minor powers)
The guardians of each race, there is one of these for every intellegent race in the mortal realm. Their power varies depending on how many of a given race there are, and some of the more common races (such as humans) border on major power. They are almost never worshipped, although it's not uncommon to rase a glass in their honor. They are not gods in the proper sense of the word, not even spirits, but meerly the collective will of their species. They always have the same alignemnt as an average member of their race (if the race can be any alignment they are true netural). The standard was of refering to the a Racial god is "defender of all (their race)".

Special Rules:
Racial Gods MAY have clerics.
Racial Gods MAY have paladins.

Code of Morals:
Clerics and paladins of the racial gods dedicate their lives to advanceing their race in any was possible. In conflict, they must side with the race of their god.

THE PATRON GODS: (major/minor)
These gods protect and defend all within their domains. Some represent professions, cultures, even land areas. They vary widely in power, depending on the nature of the thing they defend. Choosing a patron god AS your "patron god" (you may only do this if you are within the gods domain), is a common practice.

Special Rules:
Racial Gods MAY have clerics. (some exceptions)
Racial Gods MAY have paladins. (some exceptions)

Code of Morals:
Clerics and paladins of the patron gods spend their lives defending that which they follow, and up holding the morals of their god. They are also sworn to spread the faith.

Importnat Patron gods:
God of theives. (major power)Chaotic Neutral. His titles include Unseen one and Master of shadows. The unseen one does not have paladins.

God of arcane spellcasters. (major power)True Neutral. His titles include Master of Lore, and Bringer of power. To be a cleric or paladin of his you must have at least 1 level in an arcane spellcasting class. The multiclassing restriction on palaldins has been lifted for paladins of this god.

God of warriors. (major power) Chaotic Neutral. His titles include Champion of War, and Master of battle. He defends Fighters, Warrior, Barbarians, anyone who swings a sword. His paladins and clerics are constantly fighting for a cause, never giving up.

God of sailors. (minor power) True neutral. NOT to be confused with the god of the sea. Her titles include Braver of danger and Master of the waves. Her clerics can often be seen at sea, using their magic to assist sailors and ships. She does not have paladins.

God of workers. (minor power) Lawfull neutral. A minor diety almost not worthy of note, very commonly worshipped. Praying to her is ruored to releive hunger and exaustion. His titles include Helper of the weak, and Reliever of suffering.

God of explorers. (major power) Chaotic Neutral. God of explorers and adventurers. His titles include Explorer of the Unknown, and Bringer of adventure. This paladins and clerics can be found traveling worldwide.

And, well, would it still be too late for me to try my hand at whipping up a character? I'd still be interested in joining, perhaps, if I could maybe just talk to someone over IM to make sure that I don't do any colossal screwups in the character creation.

Ok since there was not enough room on the 'notes' section of the sheet I'll describe Anya's personality here.

Anya is usually aloof around others, and rarely becomes close with anyone. Some cleric's of Tyr consider her more zealous than necessary in her pursuit of justice, even to the extent of being malicious of anyone who hinder's her pursuit of criminals, be they other paladins or bueracrats.
Some rumors also state that she kills those that she even suspects to be involved in criminal actvities, although this is nothing but hearsay. When working around allies, she is normally polite and kind, but if one of them upsets her she can get rather pissy, and she does not tolerate stupidity and foolish games. She prefers the direct approach, but she will never charge blindly into any dangerous situations.

Goddess of nature. (Major Power) True netural. Her titles include Defender of the Forest, and Queen of the wilds. She is female, making her one of the few gods with a set gender. To become a paladin of The queen, you must have at least one level in Durid or Ranger, the multiclassing restrictions for paladins have been lifted for followers of the goddess.

God of the sea. (Major Power) Chaotic netural. Her titles include Bringer of Storms and Bane of sailors. She is prayed to more out of fear then worship, lest her wrath come down upon ye. She does not have paladins or clerics.

God of murder. (Major Power) Chaotic Evil. Lord of needless killing, his titles include Lord of Blood and King of hate. His clerics and blackguards spread his foul taint throughout the land, leving a trail of blood as they go.

God of Tyrants. (Major Power) Lawfull Evil. Lord of calculating evil. His titles include Suppressor of Freedom, and the Dark Lord. His clerics and blackguards can be found in many evil organizations.

God of Tranquility. (Minor Power) True Good. God of peace and good will, the clerics and paladins of this god harbor good will towards all things, and may not harm a living creature unless that creature has proven it's evil. Her titles include Lord of Peace, and Bringer of safety.

God of Storms. (Major Power) True netural. The embodyment of the weather, he is very much like the God of the sea in all respects. His title is Lord of Storms. His worshippers include anyone who wants good weather, he has no clerics or paladins.

God of Justice. (Major Power) Lawfull Good. The embodyment of justice, his titles include Righter of Wrongs, and The Great Judge. This paladins and clerics are sworn to do what they know they must, and punish all crimes.[/b]

Your AC's wrong. The max Dexterity bonus on that armor is +1. You can't apply the full bonus to your AC.

Man, I figured I might be the only one around here to enjoy playing paladins after seeing some of the behavior on this site.

Goddess of fertility. (Minor Power) True netural. Her titles are not fit to mention in normal conversation, so her full description (Goddess of fertility) is usally used. She has no clerics or paladins.

God of shapeshifters. (Minor Power) Chatoic netural. His title is "The formless one." and he is god of all that can inneatly change their form and some transformation mages.

God of trickery. (Major Power) Chatoic netural. His title is "Lord of decption." and he is god of all that is false. He has no paladins or clerics, but many rogues will raise a glass to his name.

God of truth. (Major Power) Lawfull netural. His title is "Distroyer of lies." He has no clerics or paladins, but many paladins will raise a glass to his name.

THE EPIC POWERS: (Epic)

These spirits have achieved a level of power greater then any before. Other then that they are fairly unremarkable.

God of Chance. (Epic Power) True Chaotic. He is known as the "God of luck" but this is misleading as he can bring good luck OR bad luck. He does not have paladins or clerics, however those who pray to him may have events bumped their way. He is the mortal foe of Fate and the bane of all who would try and see the future.

God of Fate. (Epic Power) True Lawfull. The god of destiny. He is behind most prophesies, and almost all seer's worship him. He does not have paladins or clerics, and is the mortal foe of Chance.

Goddess of life. (Epic Power) True Good. Bringer of life and peace, her clerics (she does not have paladins), can be found healing the sick and relieving suffering. Alrhough she does not have a set gender, her avatars are usally female. She is mortal foes with the the god of undeath all undead. Oddly enough, normal death (as in non-undead dying) is within her domain.

God of undeath. (Epic Power) True Evil. The distroyer of all life, and lord of undeath. His clerics can be found spreading the blight (he does not have paladins), and creating further horrors. Not that this god SHOULD NOT be confused with death-the-force-of-nature, that is life's domain.

DEMISPIRITS:
Demispirits can be best though of as "godlings". They are kin to their cousins, and can eventually become full flegeds gods, but are not yet able to summon the strenght to leave the mortal plane. Watch out though, they are still a force to be reckoned with.

OTHER GODS:
At this point you may be thinking "Holy shit, how many gods are running around in this world?". What's i've allready descriped is 99% of gods, there are a few others, but they are illusive, weak, and long forgotton. You can forget about them.

WHERE GODS POWER COME FROM:
.............is a closly guarded secret. By "cloesly guarded" i mean "people who investigate the matter die in unlikely and painful ways." Dispite this, there are 3 main theroies.......

1) Gods just have the power, don't ask: This is the officail position of almost all churches, and most of the masses.

2) Gods get power from followers: This is based on the observed fact that gods with more worshippers seem to be more powerfull.

3) Gods are mages who just god THAT powerfull: This is based on the fact taht gods seem to display human-like emotions and feelings.

Dude, your AC's really wrong! I thought that +3 shield bonus came from a shield, but then I noticed the greatsword. Bracers of armor provide an armor bonus, and with the exception of dodge bonuses, like bonuses don't stack with each other. Drop that AC by 4 points. Also, since Lazarus is using the sad 3.0, you only get one smite attempt per day, though I think you may have more remove disease uses. (Small consolation.)

Now for the good news: You're short a feat. Humans get a bonus feat as a racial feature; unless Lazarus house-ruled that you can pick another one. The Improved Critical feat stacks with Keen in 3.0 (it does not in 3.5), so your threat range with the greatsword is 15-20/x2. It looks like you're short 3 skill points. You should have a second level spell prepared; even though the chart reads 0, you still get your bonus spell from Wisdom. That's about all I caught.

I hope you're not offended that I did this. I'm all too used to doing this for my players IRL, and it just comes automatically.

Edit: Oh yeah, if you really want two smites per day, pick up the Extra Smiting feat as that bonus feat. It'll give you one more smite.
