(OOC: I'd presume a ways away otherwise you'd have wallked into energy range and been toasted by energy batteries pretty quickly. I just kind of figured Alryium was the only one to effectively enage.)

Ok. Just so you know, i refit all my ships with lasers.

One question about the walls though, do they get knocked down after taking enough fire so other weapons can harm your ships.

The Asgard primary holdings included six major planetary colonies- the ones over the Valhalla star, and three others.

It was too those three others that the raiding squadrons went- Astrolegios 1 and forty Floater Strike Cruisers went to one, and Astrolegios II and thirty-eight Strike Cruisers went to the other.

Bursting in above the ecliptic, the warships came in at barely sublight speeds, Warshawski sails sparking in the void. The bombardment began immediatly- Kinetic rounds, undetectable inert chunks of iron, hurtled towards the planets and barely sublight speeds. They hit the atmosphere,bursting into plasma in the friction of the atmosphere. Thousands of projectiles landed, blasting the world's population concentrations.

Guided missiles, mounting X-ray laser warheads, streaked to the minor shipyards in orbit over the worlds. (I read your Empire description just now, and you SAY you have shipyards over all your colonies- I KNEW I was right.)

The massed volleys hit, one after the other. Without the picket fleets, the defensive batteries could only do so much, and the immobile shipyards were easy targets. The damage was huge.

The fleets continued on their paths, firing as they went, and then burst once again into Hyperspace.

Some of the civilian yards had been damaged heavily. Most didn't have the kind of sophisticated sheilding and defense of the military yards.

On several worlds cities were smashed by the Floater strike. But most of the popluation was safe enough, spread across the largely empty planet.

And the Floater had suffered heavy damage in the mine fields. Several ships had taken solid and devestating hits.

The massive clouds of dust kicked up by the kinetic strikes would render the worlds uninhabitable soon enough. The ecological damage would be huge. The greater damage would be that to the world's crops- they would wither and die in the artificial winter to come.

The massed missile barrages, with their powerful laser and m/am warheads, annihilated the poorly defended civilian shipyards, along with billions, if not trillions, of credits worth of machinery.

The Asgard minefield, even with hundeds of thousands of units, lacked the coverage to protect the systems sufficiently. Even with their bomb-pumped laser warheads, they lacked the coverage to do more then damage a few of the warships.

In the Sol system:

A battlecruiser dropped out of warp, flanked by two of the new Basinet class escorts. The ships came in slow towards the planet Earth, firing a decorative fireworks display with their autocannons. The battlecruiser transmitted a message to the Asgard, "The Emperor has arrived. Are you prepared to receive?"

The dust was a none issues. Barely a nuisance with advanced technology. An inconvinience rather than a deadly danger.

The loss of the civilian slips was frustrating. But the larger civilian yards had their own defenses and their escorts had defended them capably.

A second Strike cruiser exploded. The mines had been emplaced with care. The Floater now found themselves in feild of few million mines in this particular one. And they were paying for it dearly.

{Durandalia System}

The small picket watched from far out beyond the hyperlimit. The crew running post battle damage assesments.

Durandalia was smashed flat. Thousands of hits hand gotten trough on the planet and it's moons. There were probably a few billion dead by now and more to come as the crust heaved from the tremendous impacts.

The Floater Cluster had been damaged heavily. The ship detected atmospheric leaks all over. And at least one of it's anti-matter storages had gone off. It was half wreckage as it was.

The Emperor's shuttle took off from the battlecruiser, flanked by a small fighter escort of its own. After a pause to join up with the Asgard escort, the flight began its descent towards the capital.

[Minor Asgard colony, Asgard space]

The KSN fleet emerged from hyperspace just outside of the mines range, their weapons and shields were active. On the Bridge of the Pride Of Covelan, admiral connor sat in his command chair

"looks like intel was right, that minefield is huge."

"Yes it is sir."

"Activate PDL weapons, and start taking out the mines, but keep the hyperdrives active and a course plotted, this dosn't feel right."

The KSN fleet's weapons lanced out, and started destroying the mines.

The mines began returning fire. The heavy one shot grasers blasting deep into the enemy ships. These were some of the heaviest weapons built, and they were doing their job even as they were destroyed. The Krytos fleet would clear the minefield in time but they'd pay to do it.

Inexorable Battlefleet lay in wait. Their stealth, now the best in space, hiding them from all eyes. They were waiting for their prey. It wouldn't be long.

The KSN fleet's shields bore the brunt of the weapons, leaving the ships relativly undamaged. The fleets weapons continued to carve a path of destruction through the minefield.

A frigate's shields collapsed under the intense fire, and it's heavy armor started searing away. The ships continued to fire on the mines, decimating them.

(OOC: A lot. My ships had been laying them for a quite a while. So I know, what ships do you have in this force?)

The sheilds on one of the cap ships went and the grasers began searing chunks from it's hull. The frigate exploded as it was speared by yet another graser.
