"That would be wonderful I have been wanting to try beef... I got here as our embassy was being build, and thught that it would be a goot idea to get to know some of the other races... I have diplomatic immunity it seems, so I used it... Sorry if I am intruding on anything

Natrix reared up to his full 5 foot height, using his tail to balance himself. This also revealed the flaps of skin and bone struts he used for gliding.

"Yeah... ABout three years ago, we started picking upp radio transmissions from earth. The 1938 'olympic games'. Ayear later, the same man in the speach attacked a country called Poland. And that sparked a massive war. We have been listening intently for a few years. We wanted to see how the war turned out... But then, after Roosevelt's Day of Infamy speech, we simply couldnt wait to make contact. Our entire populace has been listening to the war transmissions. Taking bets on who would win the war in many cases. A bit of a cultural phenomenon"

He paused and looked up

"This is all truely amazing, tell me were you actively looking for transmissions from other inteligent species? I believe we may have actually picked up similar signals but we dissregarded them as static, and it was not untill much much later that we discovered that the human race even existed. "

"We have been using Radio telescopes for some time. Looking for other sentient species. The probability of other life existing was so massive that it simply wasnt possible for them not to exist. We have had contact with other species, but none of them inter-stellar in power, mostly agrarian or just barely post-industrial. This is simply amazing. I personally could not ask the universe for better fortune"

"Your pod must be proud of their destinguished lineage" hectori said to the Lord Protector while still focusing his mental awareness on natriz. He was beginning to see a pattern between their skin color and emotion, similar to some of the predatory invertabrates on atlantis. He knew he shouldent be listening to other being emotions but it was difficult not to in such a large group. The emotions flowed arround the room in a great tide "if only they could feel this" he thought to himself.

Our worlds are mostly warm and moist there is much free water on the surface. Our gravity is also greater about one and a half times that of earth or more. We live in citys that are both on land and sea, but one day you will see them for yourself as I am here to offer the UP and all other members of todays treaty 100 miles of water front land on Little Pool, the most peaceful and beautiful of our worlds.

"I would assume that we are included? Or would we have to apply seperatly due to our being unexpected? Assuming of course, we are allowed to participate in negotiations."

"Ah yes thank you for reminding me, the dome should be complete by now and it would be an honor if a few humans would join in its opening celibration. Or even better if some members of your army would be willing to compeat against ours in a traditonal game of greased melon although we do suggest they wear atleast some form of their power armor as the game can get a bit rough and our spines are sharp" Hectori said holding up his forarm displaying its pointed spines.

Hectori looked back down at the small lizard who was still a good foot shorter than him, and opened his mind compleatly to all thoughts in an attempt to judge reactions to his spines. "They can be, but not the ones on my arms, legs or back, just these" he said as he extended one claw from the tip of his finger "though I do have compleate control of it's toxcisty level to prevent accidents"

"Two types of toxin, one causes sleep, the other... well... lets just say it helps us paralyze and digest our food, and it is VERY efficient"
