You need 50 labs to get an extra point per turn of research. I just got my second PPT.

I guess. Everyone's nuke should wear off what, tomorrow? If so, the first Clan War will begin most likely Sunday afternoon. I've spotted two potential targets: BxUxS and Bloodhawks. Anyone with an opinion about who to attack go ahead and PM me. Both have three members, but Bloodhawks are all moderately powerful while BxUxS has one strong, one moderate, and one pathetic.

No, alliances are illeagal, though there has been speculation about a secret Sweedish alliance :)
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

and if they find out you made an alliance? Would they disband the clans, ban? How would they find out about an alliance if we discuss it here...

LOL...what I dod is look for countries with high land counts for their total networth and low amounts of time spent online (never or rarely). They're less likely to have strong armies and less likely to be on soon and be able to counterattack. Yes, I am Machiavellian in dealing with my enemies (which is anyone outside the clan).

I just checked an i've got a pretty bitchin net worth, want the secret?

Look for soemone at the low end of your attack range and use a theif to rob them blind. I made $200,000 off of one guy alone. Research is good but after a while youneed those turns for better purposes. I havent been playing long and I almost have 100 heavy tanks.

How many research labs should you have? Just wondering how many research labs I should build as I now got 50 and no turns but am under nuke protection for another day.

I think in a week or so we'll all be pretty bulked up. Just don't neglect your military. that would be harsh, i'm going to start killing off weaker nations tomorrow..

You have to be invited by The Dark and then accept it.

Okay, now advice on how many research labs I should have and how much points I should put into research for money!

Khyron: Invite sent, didn't notice until now.

ArmorPierce: I would just stick with the 50 until you get a lot of land and money. I currently have 126 research in money, earning about $3250 per turn...time to attack more nations to get money, since I have $110,000 in investments that don't unlock for another few days.

:D :D :D Just wiped out some poor schmuck...now I'm building a nuke :D :D :D

Also, since some people have begun attacking, a few guidelines:

Go for people with large amounts of land for their value. They likely don't have much of an army.

Do NOT attack clanners until we've got everyone able to attack. We need to build strength before we get embroiled in a clan war.

Don't bother with passive attacks. They're almost useless if you're attacking someone with no defences. Either go with normal or aggressive.

Build for the ability to hit anything and everything. F-22s and Apaches make for a good air force for defense, and B-2s add striking power on the attack. Artillery is attack only, so don't build too much of it.

-lots of heavy tanks

-USE YOUR THIEVES , I know its passive but you can get rich quick off of schmucks who leave their security open

-Snipers are cool but only good for defense against other snipers, I once killed 8 thieves and a couple spies on one pass and It didn't do me any good.

-Be Deceptive with your military, try getting up to 99 units instead of the 100 so it still registers as few. That way an enemy might go in thinkging you have 0-30. Burned one guy at least with that when he tried to attack. Of course if you have the funds, the land, and the nerve move on up.

-Coordinate! You guys all have similar net worths and should be able to really tear up on some people.

-A tip when using thieves, look for targets that have a disporportinately high land area for their net worth. Use your theives and set them on agressive. You can get loads of cash for 3-5 turns if you pull everything off. Between $120K-$200K

One more thing, is anyone else considering a gold account?

War has just been declared on the Talimini Clan. Their members are as follows:

Name Number (for attack) NetWorth
Bahaman (#116358) $11 492
battlefighters (#115526) $42 523
Dicemaster (#115540) $46 467
Mysidia (#116142) $39 550
Nobospritskoeken (#115689) $49 071
Talimini Clan (#115904) $54 400

I suggest that Bahaman be the primary target for AP and Kev (Kev, get some units, man!). Igloo, Kanada, and New Serenity should focus on Mysidia, battlefighters, or Dicemaster (pick one and attack just that one). Azure, you and I will take down Nobospritskoeken first. I'd prefer to try to isolate Talimini before taking them on. This message will also be posted to the Clan board in case anyone's actually checking it :D .

Edit: For those of you still under nuke protection, I of course mean attack once you can :D.

Great. Just great. As soon as I come out from nuke protection I'll have a giant target painted on my back.

BTW, I'm still under protection for another 23 hours.
