I removed the system names on my map for clarity, but I do name my PC's.

The Dell D820 laptop is Folcroft
The homebuilt C2D desktop is Sinanju
The print server is named Remo

and the SSID for the wireless router is CURE

I'm sure someone here knows where they come from.

Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier

Mine tend to be pretty dull - my desktop is "Phong-K8", the laptop is "Phong-T60" and the server is "P4-Server".

My naming convention changes often. At the moment I'm going with metals.

Main machine: Cobalt
Laptop: Iridium
Server: Lithium

My naming conventions are absurdly uncreative: daddypc, mommypc, davidpc, and matthewpc. And Matthew's second PC is called P600.

My naming convention is currently BSG themed.

Anyone here should know what my naming convention derives from, and my roommate's is weird like that because his login name is "Bite me", and he's too dumb to change his computer name from the default.

Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape-shifting Master of Darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil,
but a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. Before the final blow
was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law! Now, the fool
seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku...

Mine is an eclectic mix. My tower is Ultra-Colossus, the server is Guardian, the laptop is Deathshadow, and my mother's computer is "MOM".

I think after the next major tower upgrade it'll probably become "Hyper-Colossus"... after which I'll probably have to abandon the whole Colossus-Guardian thing altogether.

Dammit. I was 14 before my parents let me have my own computer. Kids these days. *grumble*

Back in college, my computer names got me in minor trouble with the computer services at one point. My Windows Box was "Tits-and-Whiskey" while my Linux Box was "Coke-and-Hookers"

I maintain the remnants of a fantastic Blake's 7 theme. Sadly, the addition of 'real people' laptops and such means it's all a bit full of 'blah blah's laptop' etc. :)

have a windows machine there because I don't want to bootcamp my MacBook (though if it were easy and free to do it on an external drive I would).
May you live in interesting times.
