Has this ever happened in the PC gaming market? I have never come across a $60 PC game. I could be wrong, though.
Going through the EB website there are a few $60 PC games.
Fallout 3 is not among them, the super special edition is only 70$ (Art+Making Of+Nuclear Lunchbox)

There are no listed GTA IV prices so it might be 60$ since the Xbox and PS3 versions are still stuck at 60$ for now. But even then your still looking at 100$ max.

I've talked to an employee at an EB and he mentioned that Fallout 3 is going to retail at $40 and $50 for the collectors edition. So there's hope. :) But if I had to choose between F3 and GTAIV then I'd go for F3.

I can easily find games priced around 70€ for the Xbox or PS3, wich I can get for 20€ or less for the PC.

PC prices drop sharply after launch, while console prices seem to be set in stone, even for old titles. Probably either enforced by Sony and Microsoft, or they simply know that the high volumes of kids buying console games won't care about the price.

PS: I'm not saying that only kids buy console games, but the percentage is higher than on the PC.

Certain console titles also seem to hold their prices more. Some due to rarity, like some of the Japanese RPG's, but also the KOTOR games, while others plummet. The ones you most often see at bargain basement prices though are the various sports titles that have a new version every year.
