My best kill? Storytime.

So, I was playing Crysis Warhead, and was fucking around arranging C4 charges into the eight-pointed star. One of those goddamn APCs comes along and surprises the fuck out of me. I accidentally hit the right mouse button and detonate all the C4, and blow up the APC. I also somehow miraculously survive the explosion. A NK soldier hits the ground really hard, and lands in front of me.

I wasn't sure what happened at first, but apparently he was standing near to a shed when it blew up because of my giant C4 art, and it sent a barrel flying at him at high velocity. The barrel proceeded to hit him and send him flying into the middle of the airfield, right in front of me.

I had an awesome accidental kill in BF 2142. I am on the Refinery map. Titan mode. I am off at one of the side missile silos trying to capture it. Playing as engineer with the Pilum anti material rifle. An enemy transport was strafing my position and I take a shot at it. Completely miss. I go about my business. Then suddenly 15 seconds later I hear one of my friends over team speak cursing.

"How the fuck did you shoot me with a Pilum while I was landing on the Titan?"

"Huh?"

"You fucking shot me with a Pilum while I was landing my gunship on the Titan!"

"Umm. I'm over at Silo B right now. Just captured the flag. I took a potshot at a transport about a minute ago... Now that I think about it, that lined up with your Titan. Wow, I actually hit you?"

"Yes you fucker."

I started laughing pretty hard at that point. I missed my target and the shot just kept going until it hit something. Which resulted in a random kill against a friend on teamspeak. That was a fluke and it was funny as hell.

Oh, God, that reminds me of the time in Battlefront II where I took a shot at an X-Wing from my TIE Bomber, missed, and then was notified I took out some random A-Wing that happened to fly right into my shot.

I made the mistake of hovering a Gunship over a silo in BF2142. Turns out those silos are actually real. When the missile launched it smashed into my gunship blowing it to pieces. It was intended for the titan, but I was hovering directly over it. Surprised the heck out of me.

Two that I can think of.

The first one, Alyeska was in the same match.

Gulf of Oman in BF2, I'm on the range of hills just past the beach area. I spy the enemy airfield and decide to aim with my newly acquirred .50 Barret sniper rifle at the Mig that is just powering up. One shot kill through the cockpit.

Second, Modern Warfare, the first one. I had the perk that allowed you to carry two primary weapons, the map was the one based on the mission with the grounded tank. On the 'west' side of that map was an area with small shops. I'm on the other side of one wall, my main weapon ammo is out and will take too long to reload. I switch to my .50 and hip fire the magazine through the wall. I killed 2 or 3 guys due to bullet penetration. Oh and got called an aimbot using cheat.

Oh one I forgot. The multiplayer map in MW2 which is based on the house where you download the computer data? The entire enemy team is camped and forted up in there. We're getting slaughtered by snipers and machine gun positions. I use a single thumper and punt a grenade through the window, kill a couple of guys and get this message. "NOOB TUBING LAMER, LEAVE". Bollocks to that.
Don't Move you're surrounded by Armed Bastards - Gene Hunt's attempt at Diplomacy

I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own - Number 6

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Haven't had out outstanding kills lately, but had a couple amusing ones on BF3, which I almost exclusively play on hardcore. First one was the first multi-player round after unlocking the co-op sniper rifle, the updated M14. I go prone, set up the bipod and decided to see what the bullet drop and rof are like on this thing. See a jeep driving almost directly at me down a road heading for a flag between me and the jeep. Fire off one round and score a head shot at something like 250+ meters with the first round.

Second one was also on BF3. Driving a tank with no machine gunner when I get strafed and severely damaged by an American attack chopper that zooms right over me. I turn sharply to the left and rotate my turret around (thank you World of Tanks skills) while in the middle of an unintentional power slide and fire my tank's main gun right through that chopper, exploding it instantly. What made that round epic was that only a few minutes later (still in that same tank, having repaired it) I fired the tank's main gun at a jet that was flying low using rocket pods to attack our mobile AA gun. Hit that sucker too. It wasn't on that round, but I also have a 500+ meter head shot with the T90's main gun. I have good luck (sometimes) with tanks in BF3.

Final Fantasy VII, the first time I decided to try to kill Emerald Weapon. I leveled up, I'd stocked up, I got all the character's Limit Breaks all ready to go. I was all ready for a long and tough fight. Then on the second or third round Cait Sith randomly used his Slots: Game Over* instant kill Limit Break and Emerald Weapon was dead. Just like that. I literally stared at the screen for thirty seconds or so. Then fled for shore so I could save.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." - John Rogers

My greatest video game kill must have been in Super Mario World. It was pretty early in the game, and I was just jumping around doing my thing, when I come across this long platform of suspended bricks.

It is full of turtles.

Now, a normal player might have just gone below the platform, save themselves a lot of trouble. Not me!

So I jump on the platform and bonk the first turtle, which at first doesn't seem so great because there's like 20 more of them.

BUT

I jump on the turtle's shell again, and it rockets down the platform killing all the turtles in its way! I killed a fucking army of turtles, didn't even think about it.

damn right

Okay I just had a comical run in Bad Company 2. Came into 1500 ticket round of Harvest Day with 1300 Russian tickets left. By the time I was 32:2 I suspected the other team might not be so good, ended 115:7, best Russian team guy was 84:49 and a number of other people did have 70-90 kills but all with 40+ deaths. Most retarded run I've ever had, even if the k/d ratio is not astounding on its own. Shows the utter power of the repair torch, and I almost never had anyone in the tank to help.

Also shows how biased that map is to the American side with the high side of the map.

The best example I can think of is in Left for Dead 2 versus. I was controlling a spitter in the Dead Center campaign where the survivors are running through the mall with an alarm blaring and alerting the horde. The survivors took a beating but finally made it to the room to turn off the alarm, but all ran in at the same time. A well timed acid spit took out all four of them and pretty much guaranteed our victory.

I don't know about "best ever," but I was playing a quick round of TF2 recently, RED on Badwater Basin, defending the first point. I was a Sniper, and I had my Machina equipped. Engies on our team had the ramp/canyon egress from the BLU Spawn covered, so I was plinking away down the tunnel at anyone who showed their head. A Scout was doing a heckle on me from the other end. He ducked back to reload his pistol, I charged up my Machina full...and when he popped out to heckle some more, I took a shot. Missed him...but I killed two spies who were between us cloaked with that one shot.

Some of my favorites:

Recently I was playing a one-on-one with a friend in Halo 3. I had the high ground, he the low, and we'd just downed each other shields. I hid behind a wall as he jumps up to where I am, and he throws a plasma grenade at me.
I jump out, fire, and land on him with a well-place bash to the skull, killing him. He calls BS, saying that I should've died from being stuck by the grenade.

We looked at the replay afterwards and it turns out the plasma went right through my character's pelvis. Epic glitch.

An older one was the first time I played Halo 3. A friend and I were at a public gaming place shortly after it had come out, and they had a bunch of xboxs on a local network. First map was FFA slayer on Valhalla, and I got in a Mongoose. At the time I was not a very experienced Halo player, and I just drove toward one of the man cannons at full speed. Next thing I know, I'm rolling in the river, still on my mongoose. I splattered five or six people who were in quite a fight, and I took no damage, despite having been righted by a rocket by the last guy I killed, splattering him as my mongoose came to a stop.

well now from the reverse side....
we have standing rules in scorch, one of which is NO PURCHASING Deathheads, however there was one where someone fired a dirt bomb, on me, followed by a series of earth disruptors, so my tank chutes did nothing because they couldn't deploy. (gravity what a harsh uncaring bitch)

Another one, I was just turns away from winning trancendence when my capitol got splash killed by planet busters.

Oh and there is a reason I'm banned from using area effect spells in Co-Opt Diablo + sucessors/clones.

Easily this one in Ace of Spades. There's a map with a bridge at virtually the top of the map, and ocean at the bottom. Cliffs to both sides. I'm in the ocean sniping upwards, and the enemy is attempting to rebuild a bridge section. One guy winds up falling down from the top and I catch it out of the corner of my eye and take a snap shot with my rifle. Head shot. His dead body hits the ocean. Only the two of us ever knew what had happened, and were both in awe of my luck.

Eh, I've killed so many guys in MAG... about the only specific kill that was memorable was when I decided to troll this enemy sniper by laying down next to him, taking a screenshot close enough to display his name above his head, then sending him a PM to look out behind him, knifing as he turns around, and then sending him the screenshot at the end of the match. Now epic moments of badassery I have in spades, from exhausting all six mags of my P90 and holding off an entire 8-man squad of enemies with ARs and SAWs then keeping them held down with just a Five-seveN or holding off half a platoon in a tunnel with nothing but a shotgun.

Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun multiplayer, 2 vs. 2.

I was set up as Nod, my teammate was GDI. I told him "Give me 15 minutes before the big attack" and he happily complied, sending in spoiler attacks while I built SAMs and Artillery for defense. Once done, I built a single landing pad.

And 40 Banshee fighters.

After he's opened up the enemy base maps for me I type in general chat "Cue *Ride of the Valkyries*" and proceed to send my Banshee horde out, Blitz style. Unprepared for this assault I was able to take out the following on both opponents bases:

Construction Yard
Back-Up construction yard.
Refineries.
Vehicle buildings.

The resultant counterattack was defeated by my artillery barrages (very broken for NOD in that game).

I love the smell of napalm (or charged green plasma bursts) in the morning.

Posting in the STO thread reminded me of some PvP shenanigans in the Borg Warzone a while back.

I was rolling Feds in the warzone and some Fed (in another zone I couldn't transfer into) named "Star Wolf" was busy screaming about how Klinks were OP and stopping him from doing the objective. I finally got tired of it and told him "Maybe you should use the boost to get through" which started a chain reaction of insults from him about how he wouldn't play such a kiddy game (which is weird because how would he know the reference? I guess it is pretty common knowledge though), but also how I was a racist for insulting his American Indian heritage. Throughout the argument, I got whispers from people informing me that he was busy spouting racial slurs in his instance chat. I finally called him a whiny bitch and got a verbal pop on the nose from an admin the next day. I laughed it off and forgot about it.

About a week later, I was putting around in the warzone when I saw the same player bitching about the same thing. Except this time he was in my instance. I found him fighting numerous borg trying to get the last objective. So, the following happens:

He has no shields due to the borg debuff, but almost full hull. He's trying to get in range of the last node to end the instance.
Star Wolf: "Someone needs to get that last node"
I pretype my messsage.
::torp high yield::
::uncloak::
::Launch Quantums::
::ramming speed::
He explodes in a ball of flame
/yell "CAN'T LET YOU DO THAT STAR FOX!"

I would have screenshot the vitriol he PMed me with and submitted it to Cryptic, but I figure the humiliation was more than enough. I just told him "Next time, do a barrel roll" and /ignored him.

Probably Infamous, in the final bit of powering up the last zone. Metric assload of grunts, psi-behemoth grunts, and quad-cannons on semis closing in. At this point I stop playing with just rockets and grenades. I let myself loose my first every lightning, pushing it forward through the lines. Dozens of dead. It wasn't as impressive in the following swarms that followed, but that first time felt good.
