Ummm.... you people have never, ever played a person with a good type 1 deck in your lives.
Around where I live (quad cities IL) we have 5 or 6 top level type oners, the gencon type 1 champ from 2 years ago (a buddy of mine) and a junior superseries champ.
I can tell you that a type 1 deck will annihilate any t2 deck 95% of the time or more, and will only lose to ramdom (poor shuffling, mana screw) that 5%. Never since the Urzas restrictions has t2 been able to hold a candle to good type 1.
As for slivers if i foraged, i could fine about 200 of the common ones. I think. I might have used them for scrap, or throwing around. I don't want to look through 20,000 cards, so just go to starcity games and buy yourself some. It'll cost like 40 bucks for 4 of all of em.

You obviously haven't seen some of the new, completely rediculously cheap T2 decks, have you?

And as for that first sentence of yours... I have to laugh.

??? Sliver decks are the easy decks to make. Try making a all Kavu deck. That is some hard shit.
I mean it's hard to make one that is consistent and doesn't suck.

Sliver decks are easy to make. Just gather some slivers together with uber powers (shouldn't be hard to do, most of them have them), balance the mana accordingly, and voila. It's so easy to make a Sliver deck, it's rediculous.

And since most any Sliver deck can win alot, your statement that it is hard to do so is false. :P As I said, only hard part is to get the cards.

Like I said, the hard part is speed and consistency. Dual Lands are very expensive, and even with birds of paradise and painlands, it can be a pain to create a decent sliver deck. I might see what I can throw together in Apprentice though.

Gravity, I have seen one of the WORST PLAYERS EVER, and I do mean one of the worst. Make a Sliver deck that could consistantly win. It's not hard to do.

Who needs BoP or dual lands? I'm talking about T2 decks, even!

thecreech wrote:I have an all kavu deck right now. It is three colors. It's not very powerful but it is fun in multi-player game. 4 flame tongue kavu's combined with 4 coastal drakes and you can keep returning those bastards to your hand.
Coastal Drakes ? Seems like a weird choice. Yes, I know they can bounce your flame tongues, but so can your Horned Kavu's (albeit only once) and they don't force you to add blue mana. (Making your deck a nice red/green one)

It's a themed deck... not a Competitive deck. I do have horned kavu's in the deck... the reason i have blue is that they have alot of return creature cards. I also use those to return FTK or against black i return pigmy kavu's all the time to my hand.

I was keeping the theme in mind (I don't think competitive Kavu decks are feasible.) And with Sparkcasters and Horned Kavu's you can return a lot of Kavu's while having good creatures for a low cost And most Kavu's are green/red.

Yeah i know most kavu are green/red. But the deck i made is just for fun thats all, that's why i have blue in there. If i want im postive that i can make a competitive(or at least as competitive as they can get) kavu deck.

BTW make an All M:TG thread

Saw it, posted on it, then realised that it's going to get moved to games-section which I never read.
I really am out of Magic lately (being on an intership in a foreign country without any of my usual opponents doesn't help), bought some current block cards for a goblin-deck (never had a decent red-deck).
