Could I take Marsh, the system the Salamander brought into the Alliance by taking out Andre Warnecke in Honor Among Enemies? I'll take the Solly Frontier if not, but I think Marsh could be an interesting political entity, given its alliance with Manticore and proximity to Silesia.
I'd prefer not to get bit, single system power involved just yet. Marsh/Sidemore just isn't that important on the grand stage as of now. But if you have your heart set on it perhaps we can work something out.
Could someone explain to me the rough rules of a STGOD?
Never did one before...

I'll put you down for the Sollies for now?
Sure, I'll do the Sollie frontier. Just reread A Grand Tour, and now I think I've got a grasp on some of the political differences between the Core and the Frontier. With all the re-reading I'm doing of the novels for the Tech Bible, I may find more interesting stuff about Sollie space anyway (moreso than Marsh, which I'd forgotten was quite so minor before War of Honor).

My "shiny new fleet" might have something against it...

I do not, on the otherhand, know much about Asgard or Midgard- what are they?
I'm sorry but I'm alotting powers on a first come, first serve basis. Erewhon's taken.
Asgard and Midgard are two smallish star nations off to the galatic southwest of Andy space. They haven't been mentioned, even in passing, so they're what you want to make of them. Presumably somewhat Scandavanian considerin their names though.
They and Pheonix & Mazapan are just nations on the map from On Basilisk Station.

I'm listening.
*psst* You going to be letting the Graysons in on the carving?

I'll set them as a smallish star empire, 3 systems (2 systems with 1 inhabited world each, and one system with some space industry but no habitable planets.)
Military power slightly inferior to Erewhon in terms of numbers, but well organised, with modern, effective warships (Sollie and Peep electronics, mostly, on home built hulls.). I'll work in some raiding on Silesia, and a history of conflict with the Sillies.
Sound good?

Sounds good to me. Numbers'll have to be worked out for ships but that's not too hard.
what time are you planning on starting this game? During the temporary peace between the Manties and the Peeps, no?
Oh, yeah, and lets work out numbers now- whoever is the mod should tell us all about how many vessels we are allowed to have, and we'll get this show on the road!

That's covered earlier in the thread.
And I was thinking keeping it in proportion to the nations. I was just going to use the MtH numbers as the basis for deciding that.
