I'm still annoyed at Sierra for killing their Dynamix office. I have fond memories of those games. That, and that closing probably killed a town whose main industry was Sierra.

I am surprised people here are defending him. I'm hasseled constantly by arrogant pricks at work, and if I said something like he did I would be given a written warning. At best.

This guy is probably paid $50,000 for his job. In return he should act professionally no matter what the fans say. Has anyone heard the saying "The customer is always right"?

Sierra is no longer the Sierra we know from the 1980s and the early 1990s.

Half-Life, which wasn't even by them for god's sake, but by Valve,
saved their worthless asses, just as the company was about to be
torn apart by creditors.

They don't even have their own gaming division any more, it's
all marketing flaks selling games made by other people instead, such
as Valve.

Wow. Well, at least he didn't go on a rampant flame-fest about it. Looking at that one post alone, it didn't seem like it was earned, but the posts afterwards show the hell that guy went through.

Anyways, didn't Sierra make Arcanum? That wasn't that bad of a game, well built, expansive world, open-ended to the extreme...

No, Sierra no longer makes anything, they stopped producing software after they ran into so many cost overruns with their FMV (Full Motion Video) horror adventure game series, could never sell enough copies to pay for the costs of producing.

mind you Phantasmagoria & Puzzle in Flesh were very good....

Still nothing compared to Old King's Quest/Space Quest/Liesure Suit Larry....

Ugh, damn them for doing that. They should have used the CD format
to store much more in the way they did for King's Quest VI, rather
than doing sucky FMV

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Sounds like retroactive justification to me. Hell, if I could earn the kind of money that guy does, I wouldn't mind having to wade through that kind of crap... Particularly the ones before he went and told everyone to shove it.
