What kind of scale do you prefer for RTS?

I'll take small-scale ops myself. I can do either, but I just love sea missions in Warcraft 2 where I can take a single transport and wreak havoc on land emplacements. 6 units. Land and use a Mage o' Doom (tm) to knock down whatever happens to be closest. Flee to the transport, with covering fire from the other units I drag along if needed, and move on. Especially on maps with a large coastline. Drives the opposition nuts. Just have to know how to micromanage. Okay, I'll stop rambling now.

I like a medium to large scale, like Starcraft or the Age of Empires games. TA would be about the upper limit of unit numbers that I like.
