Lazerus: The room is lit by some sort of phosperescent moss that stinks terribly, and you can see no apparent way out. You hear the sound of rushing water in the distance, and the squeak of rats.

Behind Astinius, a smallish bronze dragon rose up on her haunches, looking over the newcomer with curious bright green eyes. Like any child, Tormantineth makes snap decisions on who she likes and doesn't like. (Secquon) is lucky... she likes him.

Hello! Are you a Cleric? Wow, I've never met a cleric before, do you really talk to your god and get magic from him? Mama told me to leave all clerics of good gods alone because if they hurt good dragons their gods would smite them down like little ants isthattrue?!?
Now you realize why she's so small, she's probably not even a decade old. Maybe (Secquon) isn't as lucky as he thought

Ooooh... slightly disappointed, her wings drooping, as she drops down to all fours and walks to Astinius's side, her head just slightly above his waist. But she cocks her head slightly to again give Secquon a good look, beofre stating as solemnly and seriously as any 6yr old. I still like you, even if you're not a cleric....

Lord Khazar smiles grimly. "We have many dead, and many more wounded. We'll take whatever help you can give. This guard"- he gestures to a haggard looking halfing woman that stands less than a third your size-"will lead you there." The halfing woman perks up, and smiles courtouesly. "Right this way, mi lord!" she says happily, sheathing a wickedly sharp scimitar and putting her sling back into a small pouch. "I knocked down a half dozen hobgolins with ole Skull Buster here, yes I did!" she proclaims cheerily as she leads you to the doorway. However, her cheerful manner freezes the second a guard emerging from the door stumbled and fell down, a crossbow bolt lodged in his throat. "Nine hells! Help him!" yells the halfing, drawing out her scimatar and readying it. You all hear the click and whiz of crossbows, then the air fills with bolts, dropping a half dozen guards. Lord Khazar utters a quick spell, revealing a dozen men hanging from ropes on the side of the bell tower. "Get them!" he yells to everyone nearby, and they oblige.

"Assassins! Behind you!" Malkamar shouted, spotting the retreating form. "Think you can hide from me, huh.." The Netherese man raised a hand, and displayed the third 'Form' of Spellfire he wielded. No soft glow here, the scorching, snaking ray burst from his fingertips to chase the fleeing men. "Time to test your new toys, Astinius!"

(Spellfire blast, 5 levels(1D6+2 damage per level), +14 base ranged bonus)

if the window's big enough, there is a dragonette charging through it, waiting until the last minute before unfurling her wings to catch herself. The BADMEN were trying to Hurt her FRIENDS! They would soon learn you never try rockclimbing when there's a flyer about, especially one as manueverable and determined as a dragon

Malkamar closed his eyes, incoming fireball. This was gonna hurt... He began sucking in every ounce of magic he could, trying to shut it down before it impacted...
