Basically I want to run this as loosely as possible, in cases when it's
8 storm troopers vs a random patrol of 2 Rebel Scum, there's not
going to be any complicated die rolls, only, "Did they get a warning
out before being splattered?" and "did one of our guys suffer a broken
nail?" :D

Yeah same here. The time will have to be different if we're going to do it every day. I'll probably be working from 4 PM - 1 AM PST (that's GMT -8 I believe). An hour earlier would be fine, though.

When you've been ejected from the STGOD by near unamious vote, I don't have much confidence in your ability to restrain yourself.

Near unanimus? Ok, i'll grant it passed by a 2/3's majority but only just so. Hardly unamius.

Besides, i've never been good at freeform. But I don't have any trouble with rules RPG's, can you please let me in? :(

9 for, 2 against, not counting yourself, and I know there was at least one more person who would have for had the poll not been locked so swiftly.

And before you say it, no, abstentions don't count either way, and there was only one of them anyway.

Your math needs work, by the way. 9 + 3 = 12
9/12 = 3/4 != 2/3
That's being generous and including your vote. Otherwise, it would be as follows (including the one person who I know for a fact did not get a chance to vote):
10 + 2 = 12
10/12 = 5/6

Not quite unanimous, but darn close. There's a reason Pablo locked the thread, and it wasn't because of an ambiguous decision.

You're not gaining very many cookie points by arguing in public, or for playing the little victim, especially with Shep. Like I've said before, not everyone on this board is as nice as I am.

Look, you want to play a game, I understand and sympathize somewhat, but the better way to handle this would be through PMs, IM, or some similar fashion, and to just roll with the punches if you're rejected. Your best bet is to sit on the sidelines for a bit, see how things are done, and pick up ideas and styles from the other players, then try to emulate that in your own games. Right now, you've earned yourself a bit of a black mark, and like it or not, it's going to carry over to other games in this forum.

Well, unless there's room for any neutral/independent non combat-intense characters, I'm out. The ones I had in mind are all freelance individuals.

Ought to put up a player signup list of people who are actually able and interested in currently playing, rather than taking rough estimates based on who's posted here.

Well, I rummaged around on my harddrive and found my favorite WEG RPG character.

[Edited stats, 14D skills)

Gorp the Ugor
Type: Freelance refuse/cargo hauler
Gender/Species: Male/Ugor
Age: 53 Height: 2.1 m (flat) Weight: 29 kg

Physical description: Gorp is a massive, semi-transparent, gray-green blob, filling up an old suit of gray plasteel-plated armor held together by a jointed internal frame. Instead of gloves, his pseudo-pod 'fingers' stick out of his suit's wristsleves. Without a helmet on, (typically) five eyes, two ears, and mouth waggle around on pseudopods, staring at and insulting people. He almost always speaks with a voice synthesizer in a harch, electroinic dead-pan. Carries a comlink, a pump-action charged particle flak gun, and a satchel.

Skills: (Note: these remain the same regardless of attribute shifting. See below)
Firearms: pump-action particle gun 6D
Pickpocket 4D
Space Transports 6D+2
Starship Gunnery: tractor beam 5D+2
Sensors 4D+2
Bargain 5D
Bargain: scrap 6D
Con 5D
Gambling 5D
Investigation 6D
Search 6D

Default Attributes: (This is what Gorp's new skills will based on)

Dexterity 3D
Knowledge 2D+2
Mechanical 3D+2
Perception 4D
Strength 2D
Technical 2D+2

Equipment: Armor suit (+1D physical and energy, Move: 8 ), particle flak gun (6D close), 3 clips of flak gun shells (12 rounds), Electroinic voice synthesizer (replicates most languages, controlled by fine muscle movement) comlink, eyepiece magnifying lens (+2D to Perception, 5 cm range), 800 credits, half-empty bottle of Pardonian whiskey, Great Gospel Zuraco bulk freighter, various pieces of scrap and garbage, credit account containing 20,000 credits.

Background:
Gorp was raised to gamble, insult, be rude and unfair to others, and to worship garbage in the Paradise system. After getting his pseudopodia on a modified Zuraco cargo hauler with a computer control system, he ventured out into the galaxy to collect garbage (most going to the HUTCA back on Paradise). He soon realized that he could make a very decent profit if he also ran cargo shipments asides from HUCTA's heavily-taxed contract assignments, assuming the customers don't mind the junk and filth adorning the living space. Though a completely unlikable character, even to those who are familiar with amorphous blobs, he is quite successful at his work.

Personality:
Rude, cruel, self-righteous, totally devoid of sympathy, and persistently disagreeable, Gorp is a rather despicable individual. He sees nothing wrong in mockery, lying, haggling, cheating, drinking, or gambling. He dislikes everything except trash (which is sacred), food, booze, and money.
Objectives in Life:
To collect holy garbage, to get money, power, and garbage, and have a damn jolly good time of it.
Example Quote:
"My, you have an UGLY face, indeed! It looks like your face caught on fire and you put it out with a razor! Heh, heh, yeah . . . I think I'll take your drink now."

Force sensitive? No
Force points: 1
Dark side points:
Character points: 5
Move: 8 (in suit), 5 (without suit)

Special abilities:
Amorphous: Ugor can shift their attributes dice around by growing pseudopodia (max. 30), which is a free action, but must be declared and can only be done once per round (attribute max. 4D). Ugor learn skills at double character point cost.
Story Factors:
Squib-Ugor Conflict: The Ugor despise the Squib, and will steal garbage from them whenever they can.
Obnoxious: People who have met Ugor view them as egotistical, unpleasant, offensive, and deceitful. They try to avoid them whenever possible.

Great Gospel
Craft: Modified Zuraco ZB-3R 'Bold' Bulk Freighter
Type: Modified Bulk Freighter
Scale: Starfighter
Length: 90 meters
Skill: Space transports: Zuraco ZB bulk freighter
Crew: 1, and co-pilot computer
Crew Skill: Computer (Sensors 4D, space transports 3D, Starship gunnery 3D, Starship shields 4D)
Passengers: 3
Cargo Capacity: 1000 metric tons
Consumables: 2 months
Hyperdrive Multiplier: x2
Hyperdrive Backup: x12
Nav Computer: Yes
Maneuverability: 0D
Space: 5
Atmosphere: 330; 950 kmh
Hull: 5D
Shields: 2D
Sensors:
Passive: 30/1D

If we are going to go with a Storm Commando team I figure we need to fill the following slots.

Lt in charge
Sergeant

1 or 2 Assault Troopers
1 or 2 Saboteur Troopers
1 or 2 Tech Troopers
1 Sniper
1 Medic

I would like to Lt slot. I'll put the templates into Word.

I have the templates done but they need a little tweaking. Storm commando as presented in the book are uber elite badasses! The GM has final say of course over changes, but i think I have been fairly reasonable with the templates. I'll post an example later tonite.

Lt. XK 114
Type: Officer/NCO Storm Commando
Gender/Species: Male/Human
Age: 24 Height: 1.8 m Weight: 75kg

Physical description: XK 114 is a tall, well muscled human, with close cropped black hair and blue eyes.
Dexterity 4D
Blaster 8D, brawling parry 6D+2, dodge 6D+2, grenade 6D, melee combat 6D+2, melee parry 6D+2
Knowledge 3D
Survival 6D
Mechanical 2D
Beast Riding 5D, hover vehicle operation 5D+1, repulsorlift operation 5D, space transports 3D
Perception 3D
Command 5D, Hide 6D+2, search 6D+2, sneak 7D
Strength 3D
Brawling 5D
Technical 3D
Armor repair 5D, blaster repair 5D, first aid 4D, demolitions 5D, security 4D

Equipment: Sorosuub Stromtrooper One blaster carbine (5D)(adds +1D to blaster skill if retractable stock is used), blaster pistol (4D), combat knife, (STR+1D+2), storm commando armor, other gear as necessary.

Background: XK 114 barely remembers life before joining the Imperial Forces. He served as a crewer on a tramp freighter until he was able to enlist. He was accepted into the Stromtrooper Corps and never looked back. After surviving an almost suicidal mission, XK 114 was offered Storm Commando training and eventually promoted to an officer. He has been in command for only a few months, but his dedication and professionalism is unmatched.

Personality: XK 114 does not suffer fools and is coldly professional at all times. He seems aloof but his men know that he backs them 100% and can be counted on to stay cool in a light fight.

Objectives: To be the finely honed instrument of the Empire to bring order to the galaxy.

A Quote: “My men and I can handle it, SIR! There won’t be anything left when we’re done!”

Move 10
Force Sensitive: No
Force points: To be determined
Darkside points: TBD
Character Points: TBD

Building notes: All the Storm commando templates have 1D that needs to be alloted for an attribute. I put mine into Dex. There are varying skill dice for the templates to balance the templates. There were 2D for this template. I put 1D into space transports as a backgroung skill, and i split the other 1D to round out brawling, demo and security skills.

The other templates have 1D to 4D for skills. If the GM thinks the templates are to uber, some major trimming will ensue!
