If you want scary games go for System Shock 2, Deux Ex (FPS RPG) or Alien vs Predator 2 (the marine missions are more scary than anything Doom 3 could ever hope to acomplish). All of them carry a very small price tag and your computer should handle them nicely.

The original Mechcommander should work well if you can find it.

On that note, Alien vs Predator 1 is also worth checking out, even if you have 2. The predator and alien parts don't really hold a candle, but the marine part is a lot scarier because you're MUCH more mortal.

Yeah, if you have integrated graphics, at least spend, say, thirty bucks to pick up an old GeForce2 64mb... or maybe "splurge" and get a Radeon 9200 or something.

Of course, this assumes you have an AGP slot. But hell, even if you need to get an El Cheapo PCI graphics card it'd be better than intergrated.
