The corellian gunship appeared in my love, Rebellion, though it was a little... well... different.

The corellian gunship is a corvette
They do, however, have turbolasers as well as regular lasers, so they can play point defense and regular capital ship support.
The lancer is really just an oversized corvette covered in rapid fire blasters, which are acutally quite weak. A single hit from a "laser" will likely destroy a fight, but a hit from a single blaster will do very minor damage to a fighter's shields.

I've seen the concept art: do you mean the early MF, Space:1999 style ship? It had a sensible weapons loadout: in WEG and Warlords its got upwards of twenty individual emplacements. Some engine cylinders have TWO gun mounts. It's stupid.Spanky The Dolphin wrote: For the record, the Corellian Gunship is based on unused concept art, with almost virtually no changes. Or is there something other than the normal CEC Gunship?
They really need to fix the AI: ships wander off all the time, they fire all their guns at one ship, they are APPALLINGLY inaccurate, and the skirmish AI never builds anything past WEG 'cruisers'.
