Dammit man, you're telling me! I got my program all nice and set, only to discover that there's no exponent operator in that language.

If VB was indeed used for the HGP, it wasn't used for the computational component of it. Nobody uses it for supercomputers, it simply isn't designed for that.

Not a few languages lack that operator, for that matter (like C).
