I'll probably get a Wii and a PS3, but I'll wait for the Playstation price drop and I'll be getting it mostly for the Blueray Drive and secondarily as a gaming machine. MGS4 looks pretty cool, as do some of Sony's other games.
The Wii seems like a ridiculously good buy for me. I would seriously buy that machine only so I could download the old games and play them all from a single system. The fact that the controller looks amazing and many of their games (Zelda: TP in particular) look like can't-miss items is only the sweet, sweet icing.

Wii and PS3 all the way

Between the price and access to Nintendo's entire catalog, there's no question: Wii. Super Mario Brothers 3, here I come.

It goes without saying that I will be getting a Wii. I was gonna get a PS3, but with this price announcement, screw em.

So far my plan is to get a Wii this year and then wait for a price drop... or three... on the PS3. I kind of want to play FFXIII and MGS4 eventually, but Smash Bros. Brawl and Twlight Princess are a lot higher on my priority list. Mmm... Online Smash Bros...
I must admit that Nintendo has really played the few cards they held after the last generation well. They practically owned this E3 from day one and out. Good for them!

I may, may, may consider buying one of the other two, if they become a) cheaper and b) smaller.
Until, then, well. 'ere Wii go, 'ere Wii go, 'ere Wii go.

Well, since my brother already has a 360 and I wouldn't put it past him to buy a PS3 (he's... not good with money, sometimes), and since I've inherited every single one of his previous systems so far, I should be good on those fronts without spending anything.
I'm definitely getting a Wii, probably shortly after it launches. But I've known this long before E3.

Can't say for sure yet, but the only thing that had interested me on PS3 was Gradius VI, but it's on hold now. 360 doesn;t have anything that interests me, Wii has the old games plus new Smash Bros., which is looking to be quite good, so I suppose it's the most likely for now.

It rocked......they recently came out with it on the Gameboy Advanced (Super Mario Advanced 4: Super Mario Brothers 3)
If you do not have it, or have yet to play it, it is now your imperative to do so.
Oh yes, I am getting a Wii, and maybe the other two, after price drops.

I'll get a Nintendo on launch and maybe... MAYBE a PS3 later due to hardware and all the games I want being on that platform. 360s have zero interest for me.
So... the Nintendo is the weakest system, but the cheapest, and from this thread it's ridiculously popular. Unless the PS3-specific games are sex... I think we can say that 306 and Wii have won this round. Heh, Peugeot.

I demand you get your sarcasm-meter checked, sir. I have the game for GB Color somewhere. It will be very nice to get the Wii and all those downloads with it. You may not have backwards compatibility like the PS3, but this option is just as good.DarkSilver wrote:...............It came out in the early 90's.......Admiral Valdemar wrote:There's a Super Mario 3?!
