LAN shared folder issue: only 1 PC can see others

Have you used any "tweaker" guides? Because these can destroy backwards compadibility between WinXP and Win98

I'm rather postive I've checked to make sure they're all on the same workgroup a couple times. I'll take some time to fiddle with the firewall settings later, as I had a feeling there was some kind of issue with accessibility.
The odd thing is I once got the ME and XP to directly network one summer several years back, but could not repeat it any summer or winter break afterwards.

Well, deactivating and tweaking my Firewall has failed to do anything. I looked for anything specific that'd allow exceptions for local networks, IP gateways or somesuch. Still says it can't locate any other PCs or shared folders on the network, though I can still ping them and I'm still sharing the modem and printer.
