Regarding last post as well:

Tee hee. That was good. When will it occur to him that most of the inquisitors will have put in the "dangerously rigid: preemptive termination should be considered" category?

That, Petrosjko my Commissarial pal, is why most KIA Commissars are found with Lasgun wounds.
Famous last words... "Hold your fire, men! It's me, your commissar!"

I make no justifications for him... he's a psychopathic fanatic and a trained paranoid. It's truly fortunate that the Commissariat snatched him up instead of the Ecclesarchy, where he could have ended up a fanatical witch hunter like that fellow in Malleus.

Anyway, enough scene-hogging for Prius... now it's time for the big boys to actually get back to figuring out what's going on. Good night, gentlemen.

Mind you, in the hands of say a Commodus Voke he would be a perfect tool, as well.

I seriously hope you have a backup character, Petro. Prius doesn't sound like he has the longest life-expectancy.

Not my type can I just kneecap him with a shrieker round....

ok, so his legs would turn to jelly, and he would look like a human choo-choo bear before he died, we could use it as "proof" of daemonic influences....

Just out of curiosity, would any of these inquisitors belong to the Thorian faction?

I don't like pidgeonholing my chars, but I'd say that Pater is an Amalathian and Kruger's not part of any group but sorta generally radical. Why? I refuse to believe that the GM asks that sort of question with no ulterior motive in mind.

I don't mind, as long as you post something story-moving. Hell, I'd settle for story-wobbling. *Pokes with poking stick, but misses*

My character was trained Pre Heresey so he really doesnt belong to ANY faction. THe Inquisiton cheked him out, found him to be "pure" and has allowed him to return to duyty this was approximately 8 months earlier.

I'm figuring that if/when Prius buys the proverbial agricultural real estate I'll bring in a drifting member of somebody's entourage, kind of the way that Eisenhorn's assistants tended to drift in and out of scenes as needed.

You DO know what Illuminati are do you? Its part of his back story....the cover story is he was traped in a warp storm that erupted just before the Heresy truly went off and it released his ship only 8 to 10 months ago.

For him only 2 years has passed.

Course he does have a medal he was given in the course of his duties back then

It is hard to be a hard core puritan and an Illuminanti, because be the former means you have to shoot yourself for being the latter.

He isnt puritarian thats why he believes the Emperor forgives Alsso he has met the Emperor before.

Also his vies OF Xenos is Pre Heresey and well the Emperor was lenient with them.... course the ,nids,Tau,and Necrons hadn`t shown up and he may make a few unusual requests...

unusual as in gear the Guard no longer employs.

Okay guys, work with me here. What kind of armaments would we be loading out for what is essentially designed as a cannon-fodder regiment intended for duty on Armageddon? These guys are basically intended to be used in the fashion of a penal regiment.

Novel fluff fails me here and I know jack-all about the codexes.

Doth thou inquisitorial retinue ( or any 40k ) have access to EMP grenades?

Looking through the 40K mainbook and remembering that with countless millions of regiments the IG does have a fair bit of variation, I have a humble suggestion.

Mostly standard groundsloggers.

A few veterans with Commisars to keep order and stiffen the ranks.

A few support teams with heavy stubbers, autocannons, mortars, and missle launchers. Kill tanks, dreads, large masses of Orks, and deserters.

EMP grenades are call Hay Wire grenades in 40K. A lot of electronics are hardened, so while they can cause serious problems, they don't usually fry everything.

Inquisitors and Assassins can get them, and Harlequins are notorious "special" grenade whores.

I don't know what either a Vulture or Valkyrie is in 40K. Can someone wise and benevolent share their knowlege of that particular mystery with me?
