"Black" is a person who is a servant of the empire, and a Malalian Heretic. NPC to use, basically he became aware of the other choas powers and started the info feed that alerted the rest of us to what was really going on.

oh, and he had a really nice pretty cage for use against the psi-king...

edit think of him as the disgruntled employee from hell.
oh and the reason he's helping you, is because he feels so much better then you. He feels that all the imperial agents are incompetant. (think serial killer level of arrogance)

Oh geez, Prius in Paranoia... he'd be the first to go, the FCCCP bastard. Heh.

He hasn't killed any today, but he did get to shock the shit out of a bunch of merchant house personnel and family members.

Some notes. The commissars he's turning out will be righteous little bastards, all full of zeal and orthodoxy, ready to execute at the drop of a hat. Very unpleasant. Think Hitlerjugend/SS.

Another note, he's formed an honor guard of sorts that he's culled from the PDF, as mentioned in my post. After this raid they will be known as the Emperor's Sword.

They're not stormtroopers yet, but he is going to borrow some stormtrooper NCOs soon enough to work them into something similar.

In case it isn't clear, you're all on the task force. I renamed the Mars (I dropped the "Emperor" from the front) because for an Imperial ship it is quite clear who you are refering to when you call it Divine Retribution.

Prius and his boys are going along for the ride.

This accomplishes several things

1) It settles the issue of the vital system introduced by someone other than NL. Consistency is maintained.

2) All the people who were screaming urgency look like idiots unless they leave immediately. Since we don't want your characters looking like idiots, you must leave.

3) It provides a good intermediate step for all our characters without forcing anything, massive retroactive changes, or making anyone looking like a fool. You guys save the system, Gix imposses order at the hives, and then we move on to NL's next stage.

4) When it is settled you come back, pick up Gix, and we go where NL inteneded us.

If you are asking if I know about torpedo-bombers, then yes I do.

The rules are in the BFG forum experimental rules thread.

If you are asking how good are they, it depends on how many turrets your target has.

If you are asking me if you have any on board the Mars, then the answer is no.

Nova cannons are innaccurate so don't expect any miracles in this department. Of course, every little bit helps and with a Nova Cannon you only have to get lucky once.

See, that's where precog comes in very handy. If you can see precisely it should be fired to ensure it's on target, the inherent inaccuracy of the weapon becomes much less of an issue - at worst, you'll have to wait a little while to fire it. And given that it takes (IIRC) 15 minutes to load, a short delay isn't likely to be very noticable.
