These guys don't even include marines. Sure there's a couple of chaos champions, but after dealing with a Terminator Sorcerer, Adivan's going to think these guys are part of a vacation package.

Basic game is freeform 40K RP, primarily focused around the lives, loves, and entourages of a group of mostly young and inexperienced Inquisitors who are in waaaaaaaay over their heads.

Allowable characters are inquisitors (below Alpha level psykers), IG, Ecclesiarchs and possibly certain xenos, Rogue Traders... basically anybody who can fit into the storyline. SMs are possible with the approval of NecronLord.

(Be prepared for bad things to happen to xenos characters, though.)

(What the hell am I saying? This is 40K. Expect bad things to happen to your character, period.)

Play is consensual RP, moderated mostly by myself and Imperial Overlord, with final power and the guiding force of the storyline being our Most Honored and Wise NecronLord.

I don't see any problems with your joining the game. Work up a character and post the details here. (Basic history, equipment, entourage if applicable.)

Planet Adraxis, in an unspecified sector and subsector of the Ultima Segmentum. (Or if it has been specified, I don't recall) The year is 953.M41. Your inquisitor received this communicade around three months ago, but due to the vagaries of warp travel has only recently arrived on the scene.

It has come to my attention that the world of Adraxis, has become the source of an increasing number of heretical cults, spreading throughout the sub-sector. While suppression activities are continuing onward at a pace that pleases me, we have thus decided that you, the current inquisitors in the sub-sector who are not actively engaged in Inquisitions are to journey to that hive-world and investigate the ongoing cultist activities, in the hope of extinguishing them at the source.

Lord Inquisitor Vonrilyental, Ordo Hereticus, Nova Sector, Ultima Segmentum.

Right now we're heavily leaning toward Malleus Inquisitors, so it would probably be for the best if you could go either Hereticus or Xenos. But whatever floats your boat, we're flexible. Right now we're running four Malleus Inquisitors and a psychotic commissar as main PCs, and a host of secondary characters.

Background information on Adraxis turns up nothing particularly notable, just a regular hive world that has routinely met its tithes in terms of tax and manpower, and only recently has the cultist activity begun emerging.

You're arriving just in time. We've been in a bit of a lull while we put together a major expedition. The whole subsector is going to shit right now.

Does your inquisitor have a retinue yet, and does he have his own means of travel?

There is a supreme irony, YB. Prius was going to start investigating xenos weaponry, although to a slightly different end.

Stormbringer, one other thing. We have a subthread called 'Memoria' that is for backstory development. Basically it's a thread for writing historical segments on your character and any members of your retinue, or NPCs you introduce.
