Actually there are several. The Jefferson Memorial bug is my personal nemesis, breaking the main quest with a total PS3 freeze if I get within one klick of there.

If you get ahead of Prime during his rampage and destroy a certain key vehicle, apparently said vehicle was his next waypoint or some such silliness. He doesn't know where to go and just stands there looking like a tall, angry, AMERICAN robotic idiot.

What I really want is a mod or a patch to add a scopeless .44. The Nameless Stranger version you can add through console, for me, had damage of over 7000.

Just finished the game.

Game developers really need a presentation of the term "railroading" and why gamers hate it, especially in a game that's supposed to be open.

After I got the GECK, that's pretty much what happened.

It's worse because you can't play on after finishing the main story - if I'd tapped quicksave one more time (ie, if the entire final sequence wasn't a piss-easy scripted sequence of failure) I'd have lost hours of gameplay. As it was, I loaded my game outside the Memorial, and just walked away. The BOS are still there with their stupid robot, and will be for all eternity.

It's a great infinite source of Enclave armour, too.

I wasn't having any serious trouble with running the game until I got to the Dry Sewers and the Hospital that is attached to that zone -- now, all of the sudden, my game is freezing a lot. It may also be that I downloaded the new video card drivers for my system, but since the stupid thing was crashing in other games with the old drivers, I'm kind of screwed either way.

According to the Fallout 3 support forums this is a common issue with my particular processor (Q6600), too, in "confined" areas. Just not sure why it is only showing up now since this is hardly the first "confined area" my character has been in. So I'm pretty much stuck at this point and I'm not sure whether I have to go through this area in order to get to the GNR tower to complete the main quest line. Or if there's something worth doing in the hospital.

:banghead:

One comment said that they stopped having trouble after switching to Windowed mode, and at first that seemed to help, but the freezes started up again a while later.

About half the time the game simply won't start for me. It just loads up, goes a black screen, and won't even Alt-Tab or Ctrl-Alt-Delete out of it, and I have to hit the power button. Nice work there, Bethesda.

Get Lincoln's Repeater. Sadly unrepairable except by NPCs, but it's a high damage scopeless .44

Um, what? You can repair it with standard .32 hunting rifle parts.

I'm liking it so far, though it is a tad...finnicky. Just odd little things, getting locked in rooms because I was trying to talk to people, stuff like that. I really wish you could attempt any hack/lockpick job regardless of skill, just having them be really difficult.

More then that. But they are split between little things. So it's take a basic main template and then add and drop things.

Frankly, they needed to either do this, or get rid of the fucking mini-games altogether.

I'm not even bothering trying to figure out the passwords for hacking. I try random words and reload if I run out of tries.

This is a case of making something "Interactive" and a "simulation" gets bloody annoying. I put points into lockpicking or hacking, and want to just click "open lock/device", and that's that. The only option for that is in lockpicking, with a very low success rate, and there's no option in the computer hacking game (which is admittedly, more fun and less guesswork).
Give me my "thievery" symbol from BG2 and auto lock pick attempt you bastards! Why add shit :P

It's not the idea of a minigame that's bad - just EVERY MINIGAME BETHESDA HAS EVER FUCKING MADE HAS SUCKED THE SHIT OUT OF MY ANUS. It's apallingly dumbfuck how they approach all these mechanics - the clumsy level-limitation, the development cowardice of making 'un-pickable' shit, and the laughable sploitability of the actual annoying as shit minigame itself. They basically fail at every possible step. It could be cool, or even simple yet tension-building (like, holy shit, Thief's decade-old realtime pick system) instead of the utterly worthless system that does nothing except make science and lockpick the only constant roadblock skills in the game.

Don't even fucking get me started on it pausing the fucking game.

Similar to FO1 and FO2? Actions you make in various towns indirectly affects the outcome at the end?

No. Which is another reason why most people hating the ending. The only things that affect the movie are like, two choices off the main quest. Nothing about any towns or side missions.

Yeah, it even shows stuff you maybe never did, like you walking with Dogmeat by your side, even when you never had him as a companion.

Hmm... can we actually do that to most of LL, or just her?... Cause if so I'm definately going to have to do that on my evil character.

As an evil character, I did Blood Ties and killed everyone one those motherfucking vampires with mines, a hunting rifle, and a baseball bat. Very satisfying. Hey Vance, I'm shooting up your friends, you better come get me with your emo bullshit! KBOOM!

But now the people of Arefu want to kill me. WTF? I'm not sure how they found out about it, or why they even give a shit. I'm guessing it has something to do with shoddy fucking design.

Supposedly They count as the same population once you finish the mission without killing them.

Not like there's anything in Arefu worth leaving them alive...

Yeah, the outcome of the Blood Ties quest was one of the worst examples of a failure to have dynamic outcomes. Really, going in guns blazing (or in my case pelting them with grenades whilst they were all sitting together listening to that pretentious fucker Vance preach) and taking the Family out without talking to them (or doing the same stealthily whilst they sleep) should be an acceptable outcome for the quest.

Does Arefu go crazy even if you walk up to Vance and tell him outright that he's an abomination of nature and must be cleansed from the world and provoke him into attacking you?
