Hey, I 'm not saying that's the response of everyone, every culture has its irredeemable pussies. But that's the official line, and peer pressure, and their innate spinelessness will keep the rest in line, at least in the short term.

Tycho, I got off at least one missile barrage. Given that you consulted with your national monarch before the fleet ran, realistically I could have gotten off a few more. Let's have a casualty count.

Heya All:

if I am reading this correctly, it seems that the Manticorans eventhough vastly outnumbered (they said so themselves) completely and utterly ignored the first missile salvo of the attacking forces. As I see it now, this is unacceptable considering that the same set of circumstances occurred in the Asgard/Nashtar conflict, and the Asgard salvo had some effect. I see no reason to allow the Manticoran PD efforts a one hundred success rate.

So he decided to run before ever knowing my fleet strength? Okay, his funeral. If this is the case, he takes one salvo of damage and I get to treat his fleet as being crewed by cowards for the rest of the game.

We've had a really slowed down/inconsistant timetable ever since the war started. How many days after the White Sun invasion is the UPA fleet hitting Manticore? I think maybe a week or so, from what I've been able to tell, but is there a definite count?

It's less than a week. Three days at most. Come on, we weren't entirely demobilized, you know.

because of school, i wont be able to be on for more than 20 minutes a day. So my nation will be building up and defending its boarders for the next 4 weeks.

they have made contact with pirates. Any combat i post will be me testing my forms of writing to decide what works best for me. And they will be against pirates in my territory

Like I said, cowardice. They had no clue they'd be so outnumbered before I arrived in system. I didn't know that he ran his navy like Monacora.

Yeah, pretty much.

Besides, replacing those ships will be tough if they get slaughtered. Manticore doesn't exactly have a total war economy, and it certainly cannot afford to lose 2 whole fleets in such a lopsided battle.

He's running a straight Manticorian copy. They're designed to protect themselves from missle fire.

Oh, and Tycho, your ship will be able to find refuge as well as reapir and armament with my people.

Even if I did stay and fight, losses would be worse.

Nonethless, losing my shipyards will hurt, but they can be rebuilt in relatively little time, compared to 2 battle fleets.
