The mechanics change slightly, but its pretty much the same.

Warlords 6VSGs, 4 gun mounts

Reavers 4 VSGs, 3 gun mounts

Warhounds 2 VSG, 2 smaller gun mounts

Anything that'll drop a VSG has a good chance of burning through Titan armour and doing nasty damage.

Of course, the Gargant bowling ball of doom will pass through VSGs, but that's life.

I remember one job I was on where I had a guy saying to me 'They don't understand, I can't go more than two days without eating.'

I was at three days myself. Didn't get a chance to sit down an eat until the next day. Fucking nuts, that shit was. Quit about a month later.

Being a really stubborn, stupid fuck. I was on the Family Dollar delivery account, which combined driving with trailer unload. It was a grueling job at the best of times, generally had ten percent and up on comp at any given time, had 30% turnover a month.

Our old boss was smart and spoiled her old hands like crazy. We could write our tickets and get away with sheer bloody murder. Our new boss was one of those 'gonna tighten things up around here' type assholes, but he was slick about it. So when he decided to purge us out, he didn't gripe at us or anything, he just hammered us with a killer schedule.

Well, being good troops and all we were used to making hard pushes when the freight was on or they just needed warm bodies, so we pushed.

Of course, we were also used to getting lots of slack after hard pushes. But the fucker just kept hammering us until pretty much all the old hands were gone. I was one of the last to go, just being stubborn and figuring upstairs would catch onto some of the flakier shit he was pulling.

Petro's latest golden rule- Don't fight the guy upstairs unless you've got some serious ammo. Especially when he's fifteen hundred miles away. He has all the cards.

I really loved the job once upon a time... when I started telling people I was on the way out, the general consensus was 'Damn, thought they were gonna have to carry you out of this place feet first.'

But I was just worn smooth, and I was tired, making mistakes, and getting injured. Because I was so worn out I wasn't healing like I was supposed to, and I wasn't getting the usual warning signs about injuries. My last load, my shoulder just said 'Uh uh' and locked up completely. Good sign that it was time to call it quits.

Oh yes, very much a man on the list of people who would best be served by never meeting me in person.

There is a reason that company makes damn sure that they have glass and locked doors between themselves and the drivers.

I'm pretty much past the bitterness, though. There were a lot of good times, and good people on that gig. We were a pretty wild lot, because we were the bastard stepchildren of the company. One of the guys was a fellow SW junkie and video gamer, except that he favored the Rebel scum, and liked A-Wings.

I pointed out that I was an Imperial loyalist, and that real men don't need shields. We had many great conversations over the topic.

And there was my buddy the Cruiser. Everyone generally said I was the craziest guy on that job, but the Cruiser was more nuts than me... he was just more low-key about it. We used to have great conversations where we'd stand around sucking down coffee and going 'Uh huh.' 'Yup.' 'Know what ya mean.' 'Sure.'

Just like that for ten minutes or so. Great stuff.

No I run the employee only Bar & pool hall.

so every day I get tourists who want to eat at the employee only place, and then when it's closing time, the employee's won't fucking LEAVE!!!!

and since I still have to vacume, and do dishes afterwords, and don't get to eat until I get home, it can be a real bitch.

oh, and let's not get into the poor guy at work who has to clean up the women's restrooms right now. <gah why can't they have their morning sicknesses during the AM hours, oh wait it WAS during the first AM hour....>

Reminds me of my brief stint as an arcade nazi. There was a set list of duties to be done before closing, vacuuming and so on, and you were supposed to start on the vacuuming before the place closed. But of course during those final fifteen minutes before closing every person who has been accumulating those stupid freaking tickets all day long had to trade them in, and could they just buy big, easy items? Noooooo... they want to take their fifteen hundred tickets and get seven tootsie rolls, three popper thingys, two cheap fake rings, one of the small plush animals... no, wait... two of the small plush animals... oh! Can I see that dart gun, Mister?

And then after all that, you're supposed to have the place basically cleaned, cash counted, and out the door with alarm set within half an hour of closing. Hahahahahaha! Three weeks I worked there, I managed it once. By not vacuuming. And leaving a soda cup on the change machine. And otherwise not cleaning up.
