*as the troops advance, they pass by the goo-encased figures in the wall, only giving them off-hand glances while they hunt down the remaining aliens

One begins to twitch...then another...the bodies convulse and they whisper "kill me..." when suddenly...*

*another hundred baby-Xenos jump out of their corpses and they grow to adult-size rapidly due to the unusual radiation of the compound*

*and unbeknowst to the Gnomish troops and DSider's thugs, they're surrounded*

DGG turns to another stabbing his blade through its opened mouth ready to pounce. Acid splashes all about the battlefield, anyone whose had their armor breached falls to the ground in agony as their flesh melts away*

*continues to cut his way past Xenos, and walking over the corpses of melting troops....he turns into a secluded corner...and glances up to see a horror beyond speculation; a gigantic Xeno is before him, with a enormous skull flap and tiny, grasping arms, it screeches a horrible battle-cry*

The Queen methinks...*gulps, brings blade to bear* Here we go again!

*great holes are blasted out of the disgusting monster, acid spewing every which way and melting through walls and floors. DSider goes by for another pass, but is knocked back into an advancing crowd of Xenos by the Queen's tail*

*DGG slashes off one of the creatures arms, and slices up a long gash around its head flap, but the creature jolts and bucks like a bronco and sends him flying off into the crowd as well*

Then, just as the creature prepares to attack and hope seems lost, the creature explodes in a blinding flash of light, as a Gnomish drop ship comes screaming into the atmosphere*

*wipes Xeno-guts off his face to get abetter view of the ship--still bright red from its descent through the atmosphere--flying past the compound, all guns blazing, flash frying tens of Xenos so quickly their acid is evaporated*

Thank goodness we're saved!!! *RougeIce, so overjoyed, summons all his strength to run to the craft as it lands, falling into the cargo compartment where ten medics instantly start hooking him up to potent life-saving equipment*

Wait up! We're coming too! *the entire Gnomish task force runs into the ship as it takes off from the forsaken place*

Is everyone out?

PILOT: Yes sir, there are no human or Gnomish lifesigns inside.

Then we don't need this place anymore. Kill them.

*the gunships charges its powerful gridfire cannons, unleashing a hail of energy and vaporizing the compound, killing the Xenos and ending their reign of terror*

*As they fly off into the distance, with plenty of closure, "Leave No Man Behind" concludes, and DGG turns to his unconsious comrade*
