Either here or on OpenRPG works. Either way, we'll pick up after the cybernetics are installed and Ernesto orders the body armor, and we assume that because Heath wasn't there to play M6, that M6 was out of the room when the deal was struck. Because it really wouldn't make much sense if he said nothing while present and then later raised a stink.

If we're going to resolve this here, then feel free to post at any time.

Jack is, if anything, a realist. While he certainly would have liked more of the money, he knows his place in the scheme of this. I've bagged, what, two bodies - and one of them was "pinned" helplessly at the time of his assumption of room temperature. With the exception of the hacking of the terminal, he's felt superfluous compared to the utility that any one of the others bring to the table. That said, you'll still hear mumblings and mutterings from time to time (and considering the aural power of this group, anything not said in his own head can be heard - and even that thought can be intercepted!) - but don't pay it no mind. Jack can make that 10k last long enough. Heck, it's more money in one spot than he's seen in a couple of years (that's his money, at least).

Yes, well last time I looked at Jack's character sheet, his AT with a gun was 18, which is damn good. So he doesn't really have to hang back anymore if he chooses not to. Especially if he were to get some choice items from the equipment guide.

In other news, I just came up with what I think might be a better solution for cover: Bring back the Defense skill. Instead of an attack being a passive roll against someone who has cover, make it an opposed roll. The relevant stat would still be Balance. Because someone who has higher Balance can pop in and out of cover faster and do it from unexpected angles, and someone who has higher Defense is more experienced and will have a sense of where his opponent expects him to come out.

Also, someone should only be exposed in the action that they fire instead of for the whole round, and the attacker can only target the eye, forehead, gun, or hand of the person he is shooting at, since those are the only exposed areas.

The implementation for the Defense part will have to wait until the next campaign, because I don't think anyone wants to re-do their XP allotments to incorporate a new skill. But the other two parts can take effect next session. This way, cover should be a lot more protective against direct fire.

Ok, so here's the deal: as Justin already said, we'll assume M6 was out of the room (cleaning his gun, or something) while the divvying up went down. After he found out who got what, he got pissed. So he then gathers up Xak and Jack, and pays a visit to the newly cybered-out Ernesto and Mikal.

The way he sees things, Ernesto and Mikal muscled their way to the lion's share of the loot. And whether Xak and Jack personally don't care how big their share was, M6 feels they deserve a fairer share, since regardless of any ribbing he gives them, they're still valuable members of the team.

So I think the best way to do this, since it technically involves all of us, is to wait for this weekend and do it over OpenRPG. If it were just between M6 and Ernesto, that's different, but I want everyone involved.

HA! Yeah, that's why M6 wasn't there, he was waxing his carrot. 8)

While I'm posting, I figured I should get the ball rolling on when we should meet this weekend. I'm thinking Saturday afternoon/evening. I'm free all day Saturday and Sunday, but Saturday usually works well for everybody.

sounds good! It does make a bit of sense that he would gather Xak and Jack together for a meeting of minds and to air his grievances but it also has with it a subtle undertone that I am sure Ernesto will not overlook.

It seems clear to me that M6 and Ernesto are not going to see things eye to eye. I have already pointed out Ernesto's viewpoint earlier in the thread, so I will not rehash it here. This meeting should be kick ass and full of tension, which is why I felt that doing it here would be a little easier but OpenRPG works.

I will see if I can collaborate with Hotfoot and do a setup post here in the thread before the fateful day arrives. :D

Slight questions, would there be any objections if I mind raped the VP when we are done with him? I really really really want to reduce someone to a quivering husk of their former selves

O.O! Oiy!

I just got a job at Radio Shack, so I don't know when I'll be free this Saturday and between what times I won't. Therefore, I think it will be most painless if I know everyone's schedules by tomorrow so we have time to iron out inconsistencies.

Seeing as how I don't have a job (well, I do, but my schedule's fixed), I'm free the entire weekend.

Sorry I didn't update yesterday. I wait until I know the game time before I plan the rest of my weekend. Unless, that is, something big needs doing (such as, major motion picture release, death of a family member, birth of a family member, I get lucky, etc.). So, my schedule is wide open, Friday through Sunday.

...now this is freaky. Friend of mine starts playing Cyberpunk iRL, I get on SDN, poke at a thread I'd not bothered to look at before, and bam, Cyberpunk, a game I'd never heard of til he started playing it. That's some freaky shit.

Cyberpunk is a genre, this is probably a different system than your friend uses.

Yeah, and this has turned out to be "not-quite Cyberpunk". It has elements of Cyberpunk and elements of Post-Apocalyptic.

Anyway, looks like Sat. is a no go for at least one person. What about Sunday from 11 AM to 2 PM or so? I'm not 100% sure if I'll have to work Sunday or not, but this is assuming I don't. I'll know before the end of today.

Yeah, I'd say heavy on the post-apocalyptic, light on the cyberpunk, but it's fun nonetheless.

I mean Cyberpunk specifically. That's what freaked me out.

It works fro me, thanks to daylight savings, though, I may be a bit late.

OK, turns out I work Sunday morning until 2, so maybe 2:30 to 5:30 PM PST? Does that still work for everyone?
