Gathering up the belongings of the goblins (except the short sword, got one of them already), Grozny walks over to the carved body of the headdress wearing goblin, and picking up the gutted chicken, eats.
"Been hungry for a while" he mumbles with a burp. He then picks the prone goblin, and boot to his throut, begins to slap him about the head in an effort to wake up, whilst waving the letter around shouting "What does this say little scum? Be quick or my foot my fall on your head...hard"

*repeats from end of last page* I'm going to take the 40 crossbow bolts (can never have too many of those) and check each door to figure out which one leads where.

Despite your best efforts, the goblin simply does not respond to your gentle care and remains unconscious.

You find the door you came through first and the one opposite it leads down a natural stone corridor lined with what appear to be cell doors. The one to the left of where you started opens into a barracks of some sort, and behind the door to your right is a spiral staircase leading down deeper.

I'm going to check out the barracks first.

The barracks appears to be deserted at the moment but shows signs of recent living. There are bunks for about 40 soldiers who personal effects are often strewn about or messily piled into footlockers. There are a few doors leading off to a kitchen, an armory and smithy and a few other storage rooms.

I won't bother to ransack any foot lockers, but I am going to check out each of the doors before I go back to take a look at the stockade, still moving silently.

The kitchen looks to be a mess and the soldiers appear to do the cooking work as well, judging by the smell. The armory looks like its been ransacked, there is very little in the way of good equipment stashed in there. Several storage rooms contain various foods, water, wood, tools, and miscellanous equipment.

I'll refill my waterskin from the well and "requisition" some trail rations, and continue my search over to the prison area.

The bank of cells appear to be unoccupied, save for one. At the end of the corridor you find a human and a dwarf in a cell, both unconscious.

Boot still on the goblin’s throat, Grozny pulls his empty sack out from his backpack, and hurriedly places it over the goblins head, and then, making sure the wretched beast is out cold, throws the rest of him in the sack, and promptly tying the end. “Now little one, you will tell me what this letter says, even if I have to start cutting your appendages off.” Bellows Grozny, whilst starting to follow the horse tracks he was following earlier before he was so rudely interrupted.

Its all clear. No sign of any of the soldiers or thugs or even the mysterious "wizards" the dwarf referred to.
