We'll put the setting up for vote. To play, you don't really have to know anything. I tried to design Tensided to be realistic enough that you can apply real-life logic and get the best outcome.frigidmagi wrote:What time setting(ie sci fi. fantasy, historical, modern day?) would we be playing and how much stuff do I have to know by when if I play?
That's two votes for fantasy, so far. If we end up doing that, there's a choice between a homebrew setting I've run two games in and converting Forgotten Realms, an idea we've talked about before in this thread.frigidmagi wrote:I'll vote for fantasy, I've GMing a ShadowRun Campaign for months now. I need a fix... BAD.
Beside I got this idea for a Ranger/Monk sytle of character... A kind of wilderness Kung fu guy I guess...
Other options to consider:
More cyberpunk
Fallout
Star Wars
Hard Sci Fi
Superhero
Mafia
Horror / Supernatural
The 1,001 different varieties of Modern
I don't personally have a preference. Once we get a majority vote (3 or more), then I'll come up with a basic direction for the story I want to tell, and put out the casting call. If it's a setting I've never done before, I'll make a rough supplement after that, to be filled in later.
