I'm never going to read that series... I've heard it involves way too much text for the amount of plot.

After book five it does stretch out but the beginning was great. And the prequel wasn't bad either.

On a similar note, DanielsBen, I'm afraid I'm going to need your numbers according to the current system we've got going. Once you have determined how you are paying for each part of your force, you can assemble them in any way you choose, but I do rather need to know how many regiments of what type you are buying, how strong they are, that sort of thing.

As a reminder, the basic, average regiment "point" (on the 15/35/50 scale) can buy you the following:

2,000 Light Infantry AND/OR Skirmisher
1,000 Heavy Infantry AND/OR Pikemen
5,00 Cavalry (light OR heavy)
10 Average Naval Ships
5 Heavy Naval ships

Also, your map territory seems to be a little large for a regional power to properly hold. If you really do want that much territory, hey, feel free, but you're not likely going to be able to defend it adequately when the enemy marches past your borders.

Well, yes, but I don't see what his perfectly preserved brain in my closet has to do with this.

Yeah, me included. The question is: What (besides the spelling of "dwarves")? Mostly I've borrowed from Arthurian legends.

Uh, Fisher, since we haven't decided on a monatary system at all...

the amount would be fairly small, but this would of course add up if you insisted on moving your entire army across Tear. Just moving a regiment or two back or forth would't really effect much, but moving several would give me a small chunk of loose change lying around. Unless we want to try and issue a standard of measure here.... *shudders at the thought of OOBs with GDP*

I've got Lake Evendim by way of Mercedes Lackey. And I've got the Misty Mountains. I've only stolen place names though...

Okay, important question: How are we handling divination magic? I made my king's wizard advisor a diviner without really thinking about it, since it seems the natural choice, but the more I think about it, the harder-pressed I am to figure out how to fairly make it work in the game.

Hotfoot decides what you see if anything. Divination is the vaguest and most fluids of magic anyways.

Of course. Since we can't quantify it, though, I tried to qualify it....
