yeah, my sega and my SNES came out of the flood of '97 with flying colours, and Sega replaced my burned out Dungeons and Dragons + my burned out shadowrun (the save function didn't survive the flood) The only SNES title that was killed by the flood was elevator action.

Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm just saying that if a disc-based system were built with the same kind of build quality, they would last longer than just a few years like a lot of the more recent ones seem to. I bet most of the Gamecubes will still be working in 15 years. Can't say the same for PS2's or 360's.

My gamecube survived being taken outside by my dad and thrown onto the ground. It works perfectly and it was a very old one too, they're built to last
