The Scimitar pilot disconnected mid-fight, that's why. The camera hovered on it for a while, and it wasn't repping the Machariel, wasn't even moving, and had its drones sitting there orbiting itself. There's a bubble covering the arena, so his ship couldn't emergency-warp off which made it a bit harder to see what happened if you weren't paying attention to what it wasn't doing. Felt sorry for the Mach pilot, under no circumstances should he have gone down, but that's hardly the first time something like this has happened, and at least it didn't change the match outcome. I remember in AT6 the -A- team lost one of four spider-tanking battleships to a DC, and it cost them the match.

One of the guys in our team dc'd too, and he was in a tengu. I'm not sure that IRC could have won that match though. The ECM was just too much.

I bet that Machariel pilot was pissed though. That's a billion isk ship down the drain. ._.
