Is this game still going or was an armistice signed?

Re: SDN Diplomacy - part III - commentary thread
We're still chugging along, the British Army is currently enjoying some waffles with thier breakfasts for example.
This odyssey, this, exodus. Do we journey toward the promised land, or into the valley of the kings? Three decades ago I envisioned a new future for our species, and now that we are on the brink of realizing my dream, I feel only solitude, and regret. Has my entire life's work been a fool's crusade? Have I led my people into this desert, only to die?

Its on a 72h per order and 24h per retreat/build schedule.Grandmaster Jogurt wrote:Is this game still going or was an armistice signed?
So when people don't finalize their orders it can take a long time between rounds.
Right now for instance germany is AWOL, that means that the orders are never finalized. *sigh*
But I hope you find that last orders a bit entertaining at least...

Because if Russia gets much weaker, then you get to be sultan of the world (Or at least Europe), it's in my best interest to help the poor Ruskies out.

A russian fleet in botnia would stop me how compared to what you can do with an army in germany?

The last thing I want to do is have a bunch of hung over contentals wake up and find my army in clobbering distance.

This is probably time to start doing something about the Ottomans

I'd love to, I just have every other nation on the map inbetween myself and the Turks.

Actually a 10 center turk should be easy to handle in a normal game. But with the amount of recreational herbs the french and germans are taking it could be a bit tricky.
Which is why I'm telling england that he needs to shape up, stop doing charity and take over the mainland, I mean he has no resistance whatsoever so it should be a breeze.

I'm mostly amused by how closely this game's Turkey is mirroring the Ottoman Empire's peak territorial expansion.

I'm amused that the Frenchies and Austrians are letting Italy live. The green guys are a non-entity at this point

So, let's take a look at things so far. Turkey's forces are continuing to move forward, Germany is being destroyed and France continues to try to make moves that the game does not allow.

I think people should start to brush up their Turkish... That's not looking too well...
A minute's thought suggests that the very idea of this is stupid. A more detailed examination raises the possibility that it might be an answer to the question "how could the Germans win the war after the US gets involved?" - Captain Seafort, in a thread proposing a 1942 'D-Day' in Quiberon Bay

Re: SDN Diplomacy - part III - commentary thread
I've been saying the same thing for multiple turns now!
The good ol' Ruskies are on side for that though, but until I've trudged through Germany I literally have no way to move in to support him! And the French seem to be too busy building trenches along my new border to send help.
Looks like it's up to the Austrians and Russians to do something about Turkey for now!
