This gives one an approximate idea of the magnitude of the armed forces a given nation might wield. Observe the following table:

As you can see, Eizen and Clan Deathfalcon pretty much control the lion's share of military might in the region. In a respectable third is the Dominion of Battlecrabs. Kel-Morian, the largest UN nation in SDNet holds a distant fourth, followed closely by Azad, Ctan, UFKW, and Adumar, who are seperated by less than a hundred points each. And then lagging far behind the leaders is Leet Speak, and Neon Simian to round out the top ten.

What we get from this is that any of the top ten nations can comfortably defeat any of the nations from #11 or #12 on down. And any of the top three nations can pretty much ass-rape nations number four through forty, although the remainder of the top eight would put up quite a stiff fight.

I think the Arms Industry would apply more to weapons dealing and such, and the legality of owning firearms in your own country rather than national defense, though what it does mean that if your nation is invaded your citizens will be armed and able to fight back for their property, making them a flimsy, but realistic, line of defense.

And to the quality of weapons made in your country. If you companies deal with armaments all the time, they are sure to invest money in R&D. Especially if you're 6th in the world
