I beat and it was uhhh, cool.

Sorry it was just that it was such a pain to beat there for a while.

*Spoilers*

First, the Dyson Sphere from HW is actually the remains of a gaint Progatorer Mothership.

Second, the Progentors are the orginal group of humans, yes it a human filled galaxy, that seed that galaxy.

Third, the Timat do make a sorta appearance.

As for the Sajuet, its a badd ass if you know how to use it
Those Progentors kick some serious ass.

I’m now up to mission 15, and mission 14 was no cakewalk. ~ten!! vager battle cruisers, a few destroyers + a good sized fighter screen and a progenitor dreadnought.

Then it gets worse in mission 15.

Unless you stop them, the enemy good re-enactment of when a Shadow Death cloud bombarded a planet. Complete with near untouchable ships, firing a continuous stream of atmospheric deprivation missiles(a single one will trash the planet, and they are firing like crazy!!)

Damn elder races.

Oddly, I didn't have too much difficulty with M15, seeing as those missiles were incredibly vulnerable and you, well, have far too much firepower.

My mothership plastered the enemy BCs, while I had my own BCs mop up the rest of the enemy. Interceptor squadrons dealt with the missiles.

Well, I finally got the game today. I seem to have hit a temporary wall in Mission 4, but will probably get past it pretty soon (just have to finish Mission 3 again with more units pre-built, I think; I only built the minimum necessary there). Can't comment on the plot yet, though, as I'm not too far in.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner:
The blueprints of the core were integrated and expanded upon, or so the Hiigarans presumed. In fact, the core itself remained at the heart of the Mothership's drive. It was merely the containment unit that had been expanded to account for the stresses of sending a Mothership class vessel through hyperspace. The containment units, which had proven perfectly sufficient onboard Sajuuk's Wrath, were unusable due to the substantially lower energy output of post-Exile technology.
This is straight from the storyline printed HW2 strategy guide, which can be found here.

Meanwhile, the cores seem to have a one-ring like influence on people, hence Karan S'jet's continued youth.
