Never seemed to get as much attention as the MechWarriro series, but still good IMO.

Have to agree with Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 (yes, I'm one of those people).

Also: Earthbound (SNES). It's also a cult favorite, and outside of the Super Smash Bros games few mainstream players seem to know anything about it.

People these days and their dependance on flashy graphics over substance and story and character and utter psychadelic weirdness...
