Just keep charge jumping out of the top of you swing, and use the sprint button near the bottom to speed yourself up before jumping, when you get to the "corner" UFO swing, then swing back and straighten out your flight path to the statue.

Nothing to it.
Hummm...

Don't the helicopters still go through there? I remember I saw the one fly over the statue's head when I was swinging around up there. I suppose you could try that method too (takes a bit, but it'll work).

Of course, the real bitch of that mission was when I missed the stupid rungs and fell down. Trying to get back up to the globes was a real pain in the ass. :x
Just sling onto one of the low lying UFO's, they zip you right up there.

Just got to Chapter 17(Title "The second day of the rest of your life")

Man, this game is worth it just for the web slinging engine, so perfect, and once you get a hang of it, great for getting around(I'm getting better at swinging straight to a car, although often I just do a quick zipline.

I really hope they don't wait til for the next movie to make a new spiderman game, I'd really like if they made a Spidey game centered around the crime fighting of New York instead of a central plot. Tie it in with the comics more too. Have other super heroes be around, like being able to run into Daredevil, Black Cat roams the city and you can encounter her(just run into her and she says something, or a mission starts and you can fight a crime with her), go to the Four Freedoms Plaza, etc.

While general swinging and crime fighting is fun, the plot missions are becoming the throw the controller and break the disk in half kind.

Sling onto the copter, but don't drop off, just go for the ride.

I don't get the problems are having with this, the fusion reactors were kind of annoying, and Doc Ock required a little cheap button mashing, but other than that there wasn't anything of considerable difficulty til the Time, Endurance, and Boss Challeges. Shit those are a pain.

Its not difficult, but every FX guy/Mysterio mission has been boring and filled with annoying shit that makes you screw up slightly requiring a redo after another. Swinging at little globes, blow up clowns/spideys of doom? Hell Doc Ock, one of the coolest potentional video game villians has just been "Stand in front of him, press O, Triangle, Square."

Once you figure them out, Mysterio's stuff isn't hard(you do know air attacks home in slightly making the globes nothing really) And I found it easier to mash attack and dodge then bother webbing his tenticles.

Webbing his tentacles works better when he only uses two of them (the train fight). The other fight (well, two, if you count the mad turn off the switches mission as "fighting" him, though I did my best to simply stay away from him) is more difficult to web his tentacles, but it did come in handy because the sonuvabitch kept grabbing me. Reflex time is a huge help here too (as is his relative sloth; when reflex time runs out, I web away to the other side of the pier thingy and recharge it a bit).

I hated that fucking reporter rescue/burning theater one. The arena missions were annoying until you got the hang of it. Shocker was just a little bitch. The Statue of Liberty was annoying because I didn't know about the UFO thing, the funhouse wasn't all that bad, and Doc Ock, once I got a handle on it, wasn't too bad either (except Turn Off the Reactor Part II, with the fucking water floor. ARG! )

Keeping up with Black Cat was annoying at times, but not too difficult once I practiced swinging a bit. The big robots the first time were a pain, with everyone else you had to hit too. Now that I take them in the missions and have some practice they're not all that bad.

As for the helos, it's like AB said; just hitch a ride (I assume this is when the armored car thieves catch a ride in one?). I've only had two thus far, and I caught a ride for one of 'em, the other didn't go too far so it was pretty easy (except when I hit the rotors...fuck). Still, the payoff was in webbing them, grabbing them, and tossing them off the side of the building (I do that for thieves on rooftops too).

And Roosevelt Island is fun, especially when you get to fight baddies by the water and throw them in. :D

I hate those God damned boater missions though. Good God I splash a lot with those. I have beaten one, yes, one of those fucking missions, and that's only because it was relatively close to the shoreline that I didn't have to deal with double jumps. And it really sucks when they're so far out you gotta relay off of buoys and shit. Yarg! :x

Whoa, the armored car jackers will get away in a copter?

And throwing a baddie off a building isn't nearly as much fun as a 60 story piledriver.

Sometimes. In all the ones I've done, it's happened twice.
And throwing a baddie off a building isn't nearly as much fun as a 60 story piledriver.
I still haven't effectively mastered that yet. I do sling them around by the web though.

I'm still trying to do it where I do a charged jump off, throw them into the side of the opposite building, then turn around and web zip back into the melee. Sadly, by the time I thought of this, they were already done for and I haven't come across any other rooftop thieves yet. :(

I rented the game 2 days ago, and haven't done much beyond exploring the city. I've learned that climbing to the very top of the Empire State Building, charging a jump, letting go, falling 100-something stories, and only being able to grapple on to something at the last minute is fun.

Yep. How high is that thing anyway? I've managed a "longest drop" of 1500 feet or so. That's gotta be higher than the real building.

It is 1250 feet. That means I somehow got an extra 300 feet. Maybe it's that antenna thingy. And my charged sprinting jump.

Oh, and AB (and anyone else): try swinging up to the roof of the ESB with a baddie and pile driving them all the way to street level. Good God was that awesome.

What, in that grocery store thing?

I'm not sure. Guess it's to show how pathetic he had become? I heard something about just knocking the globe off to do it; maybe my little jump attack did that, and regular attacks may not've? *shrug*

Although I did about shit my pants when I saw that red life guage fill up...followed by a yellow one, then green!

I know, I was like "HOLY SHIT I'M SO FUCKING SCREWED!" And then I hit him once and his head piece falls off. What happened to his robots and UFOs?

Guess you took them out? And that's why he was reduced to a convinience store stickup? Kinda sad really...

Well, Mystero doesn't have anything else going for him other than his set ups and the mysterious fog(which he didn't have in the game). Once Spidey gets past that in the comics, Mysterio is a wimp, I mean, he has no powers. Besides, Mysterio was comic relief all the way through, ofcourse he would have had a comedic exit.

(on a side note, you pussies, when I saw his life bar fill up, I was surprised but I just thought "Ok, I can still take him")
