"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"
- A.B. Original, Report to the Mist
"I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

Oh what the hell...
1. Rebellion
Yes, I like it best. Deal with it.
I just love strategy games, and while the interface was clunky it was workable (plus, the ability to shut up C-3PO had a certain charm all by itself). The character/diplomacy system was IIRC well done.
Plus, I suck at flightsims so no X-Wing for me.
2. Dark Forces. The original. Because you know what? I HATE lightsaber fights, and I hated how the lightsaber owned anything in JK.
3. KOTOR. Hatred for lightsaber fights or no, the opportunity to wield a dual-bladed saber was too much to pass up. Plus the fight were (for me) a lot more controllable.

'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Rebellion, the second Jedi Knight game, and that arcade game, I think it's called Star Wars Trilogy, or something. I can piss away quarters like nobody's buisness on that latter.
"I want to mow down a bunch of motherfuckers with absurdly large weapons and relative impunity - preferably in and around a skyscraper. Then I want to fight a grim battle against the unlikely duo of the Terminator and Robocop. The last level should involve (but not be limited to) multiple robo-Hitlers and a gorillasaurus rex."--Uraniun235 on his ideal FPS game
"The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant compared to the power of the Force."--Darth Vader

Yeah, I have the demo of that game somewhere. I spent hours trying to figure out some of the puzzles in that... and that was just one level.Slartibartfast wrote:Yoda Stories, IIRC.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:What was that little game where you ran around as Luke and was pretty much just a Star Wars version of Chip's Challenge? That game was wicked...
Anyone know where I can find the full version of it? One of the "abandoned games" sites maybe?

Xwing Allaince. Especially with the mods from XWU. Best flight space sim ever. Get the mod for the 17km SSD, and you can play tag with the Tie Fighters in the cityscape superstructure.
Jedi Knight. Awesome advance over Dark Forces and the live action movies was great.
OH, and I did like Rebellion.

They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

The XWA Upgrade Project site says the SSD model is still in progress, and sure enough, it's not in the download section. You have it?Knife wrote:Xwing Allaince. Especially with the mods from XWU. It's Rogue, not Rouge!
