We PC users have these things called "Patches" that allow us to fix bugs without returning the damn thing.

LOL...yeah...even then I've seen KoTOR 1 have more then it's share of bug for even the patched versions.

I will leave it at that.

Also for a game with easily more then another 2-3 months of reworking it's amazing how many still get lodged in and even after the patches how many still stay.

I love my PC but KoTOR is not a game I particular love for the level of inane bugginess on both versions since by the PC...one, maybe two patches should have resolved some of the major X-Box issues. PC issues I understand...but when you have X-Box bugs as well...someone was sleeping during playtesting stages.

Eh, I've never had a problem with PC KotOR. Apart from when I put all the bells and whistles up to full.

I never encountered any of the bugs on the X-Box version.

At times I say it's luck and gremlins, but amongst much of the Internet community KoTOR1 and KoTOR2 are not considered the pinnacles of playtesting. :D

Too true. It has to be better than Troika though. They seem to *lack* a playtesting division.

*Ding ding* Sorry for the delay people, your regular thread service will now continue.

Oh fucking A....yes, the KING of bullshit...hell fans patched that thing immensely and it still had bugs!

But back to KoTOR 2...well you'll see how far influnence goes...and really the people are a bit diverse.

Jedi Bitch...well she grows on you but she is definitly a bitch. Though from what I've seen her story is by far one of the most interestings.

And another bit.

There is now even more reason to be Fully Light or Fully Dark. It gives stat bonuses, above the regular bonus it gives in deduction costs to powers.

There are a lot of new Force powers, and some of them are totally awesome.

My favorite new ones:
- Deflection. You can deflect ranged attacks even without a lightsaber, a la Vader in ESB or Obi-Wan in Clone Wars. Higher levels of this allow you to redirect these attacks back at their attacker, just as if you had your lightsaber out.
- Body. A power I have often thought should be put into games and stories. You are able to pull from your health pool to use the Force. While this is on, any power you use draws a percent from your health pool and a percent from your Force pool. At higher levels, the total cost of using powers (health pool + Force pool) is less than if you used them on their own.

That said, I'm going to go check if I can get around this crashing problem. All the fights I've been in in which the game has crashed have been where I'm unarmed (they're on my way to get my weapons back). I'm going to go buy some weapons and see if that will alleviate the problem. Otherwise I'm going to have to smash.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Oh yeah...for your horny bastards...there are more then one love interests. I don't know about three...but they are two so far, and both if worded correctly can be easily swayed to the Light.

Next game I'll do dark...maybe...so much I probably missed, this time through.

And oh yeah...I'm technically planet number 2 out of 6(disregarding the final area and such not)

And oh yes...I wll emphasize this...talk to everyone...a lot.

The Jedis that join you?

They teach you new and just plain fun powers. They also if asked correctly raise your Force pool and such not.

You can upgrade the droids, pretty nicely...and oh yes...when you FINALLY get your lightsaber...eh. At the point I'm in....it's not the baddest ass thing, but deflection is sweet.

And oh yeah the load screen tell you of the three prestige class for both light and dark. Basically they are enhanced regular, but much more so...on the level of Uber Dark-side-backstabbing-I-do-70-100-damage per hit shit from what some web boards claim.

If you absolutely max out your light or dark rating in KOTOR 1 you also got stat bonuses.

Uh...no you didn't :?

You got Force bonuses, but not + to your stats themselves.

I know, I have the thing saved at the last area as both the Ultra goody-Goody of the Jedi Order or Bastilla's Pimp Daddy.

I mean you get the same "I have now my Force alignment the same"...unless the PC had a patch that did so. I only beat it once on the PC with a Uber Light sider and same thing...no stat bonuses.

I am fairly sure. It isn't impossible that I'm wrong, but getting the pillar of light isn't enough. You need absolute max IIRC.

Yeah, when you get the Pillar you are about 2-3 short. I know this. Either way...they've impleemnted it...differently in part two certainly.

When you recieve True recognition you basically have 25% reduction/increase in your cost in KoTOR 1. It's back/

Either way...it's different in KoTOR 2....hell it might also be based upon class. This being the first time through, and I'm using a Sentinel. I tried a little with Consular...and seriously the boost in Force abilities is nasty...especially when a couple other skills come into play...your Force Push and Lightning become screen killers I'm betting.

This game rocks, this game rules.

Currently I'm level twelve, and I just arrived on Nar Shaddaa (after playing Peragus and Telos, so it's my first real planet - er, moon). I'm playing Ali Amezcua, a Guardian (only way to roll). Me and Visas Marr are full lightside (and I got a strength bonus for being full light).
I think Kreia's a cool character because she's actually neutral. Not like Jolee - who was permanently neutral by dictate of the writers, though they seemed to forget that he's an ultra goody-two-shoes.
Bao Dur is an annoying character - his personality is bland, and he's better at repair and computer use than T3, plus he's better in a fight than T3 - which means that T3 becomes all but useless. That pisses me off, because T3 has three times the personality of Dur.
Atton is so much less annoying than Carth was.

Also, pazaak is funner in this game for some reason.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'
