Sabai Territory
Sabai System, Sabai
Acheron’s Hall
Preparations had been made to house foreign ambassadors well in advance of the offers been made to their respective governments. The Sabai were under no delusion that they would be a diplomatic power any time soon, and more importantly they did not have the desire to be one. Their covenant with the Indashani had not made any promises to that regard. They would stay, while the children of Indas would move on past the veil of their native galaxy. That had been the core of their arrangement.
The latest communication from the Knight Templar was received promptly and the Acheron wasted no time in responding. The Knight Templar seemed a promising nation to seed relations with. The Acheron was aware that only one other nation, the Stuart Corporation had made contact directly but that was what it was. The Sabai were content with keeping their diplomatic obligations small. They were after all not going anywhere.

From: Acheron Marik Vestal
Subject: Exchange of Ambassadors
The Sabai appreciate your haste in this matter and assure you that we in turn shall do the same. Your ambassador is awaited eagerly, and like you and yours we hope that this will be the first step of many to come in the future. Our Ambassador will depart immediately for the designated world. May the ties which will bind our nations strengthen with each day.
Sincerely,
Acheron Marik Vestal

Ambassador Kahr Lave paced as he waited for the arrival of his escort. He had been granted the honor of serving as a bridge between his people and the Knight Templar. It was an accomplishment that pleased him, even though panic resided beneath the surface. He had a great deal of diplomatic experience, but not in interstellar affairs. The Sabai were relatively new to that whole affair and at times like this he felt inadequate in his chosen role. His teachers had been excellent however, and he knew he had been prepared properly for this task. He sighed, glancing over his shoulder and out of a nearby window to the world beneath them.
~It is good that you worry, it means that you are taking your position seriously. However, I do believe that most of those worries are unwarranted.~
The thoughts floated against his mind, his attention sliding away from the home world and towards his left where his assistant Malaniel had entered. She was one of the remnants, those that had chosen or had been tasked with staying behind while the bulk of the others moved on. His eyes concentrated on her features, admiring in a distant way her physical qualities. Malaniel did not blush, her steps carrying her gracefully to his side.
~Your escort is tasked with arriving in less than five minutes. We should go.~
Kahr nodded. “Yes, we should.”
They took a step and then another, half way to their destination Kahr spoke once more.
”Are you certain that I am up to this?”
Malaniel considered for only a moment.
~I do not believe you would be here if you were not. Everything you need to know from etiquette to interstellar politics over the last five hundred years is in your mind. Aside from this case of the jitters, which are perfectly understandable by the way I have faith in you and your abilities.~
Kahr paused for a moment before nodding, a smile gracing his lips as they arrived at their destination. His escort had arrived. In a few hours, he would be representing his people in another world. For the first time since he had received his assignments, he felt comfortable with the challenge.

Anonin and Leo finally made it to their destination. The mine entrance, a gaping maw in the ground from which protruded magical and technological minign equipment.
"What is mined here?" Leo asked
"Mithril if I am not mistaken, the same metal that makes up your armor"
"And I suppose it is only found deep in the earth?"
"Oh yes, deep enough to wake the undead. This is not the first time this has happened in mithril mining operations. It is a magical metal and requires a certain amount of ambient magical power in order to form. That generally means dragons, demons, or a large powerful undead. Mining mithril is risky, expecially because normal military forces are ill equipped to combat such forces."
"You just had to go into an exposition didnt you Anonin?"
"Yes" the mage replied with a tooth flashy smile.
And the two adventurers sallied forth into the cavern. Mace and staff in hand, and quickly were plunged nto absolute darkness. This was not merely the absence of light, but a thick darkness, the active banishment of light.
The mage spoke a word, and the top of his staff sung, and began to pulse with a supernatural light. Banishing the darkness in turn.
The cleric held out the holy symbol on his shield, ready to ward off and destroy any undead that made themselves known. They didnt have to wait long. Around the corner came a large group of zombies, backed by ghouls
"Raise the dead, I'lLL RAISE THE DAY!!" the cleric called, his voice resonating from something other than the echo while holding up his shield. The shimmering figure of the sun came to life and began to glow with the light and warmth of the morning sun The ghouls, being true creatures of the night, bust into flames when the light licked across their palid flesh. Bening rendured unto ash in seconds. The zombies, being somewhat mor versatile in their abilities, were merely scoreched by the light and contnued to advance, somewhat slowed. SOme however, did turn and shamble a ittle faster in the opposite direction. The mage made quuick work of them, he uttered a word and several bolts of green energy exploded from his fingertips and struck the fleeing undead, when they struck they spread out into an acid fog that left the zombies non existant iin microseconds before dissipating. Leo Lowered his shield long enough to bring his mace crashing down on the skull of a zombie, and still use it to shield him from the shower of green blood, which disintigrated on cotact with his shield. The mage wove another spell, heglowed with a supernatural sheen as hands worked to shape his spell. When it was finished, the rock at the foot of the cleric turned berifly to mud, then back into the original stone Trapping the feet of several zombies within it.
Leo took his chance and pull rushed through the trapped minions of darkness, his shield disintegrating them on contact.
"Well that was fun" He said
"You and your pysical battle" Anonin said with a smirk.
They both set off at a jog down the shaft.

Greetings and Salutations,
In light of recent aggressive acts by the Auroran Imperium, very near to both of our nations, it has become distressing that we have yet to establish formal diplomatic ties, let alone establish a significant consulate or embassy within your nation. Therefore, I wsh to inquire as to how amenable you and yours would be to an exchange of ambassadors

As our forces are spread too thin to provide escort and transport for multiple foreign outreach missions simultaneously, any requests for ambassadorial exchange will be dealt with by a visit from the SCSS Purity in turn. Any nation that makes such a request should expect a visit within two standard weeks to delivera diplomatic staff and provide return transport for a reciprocation if needed.
Your ship may enter Avalon system at the following coordinates. [enclosed].
Do not deviate from them.

Sabai System, outer reaches
The sleek vessel appeared with the usual anti-climatic flash of light in the outskirts of the Sabai system.
Immediately, it sent transmissions via this hyperspace form of communication other nations seemed so ultimately fon dof.
"This is the Diplomatic Vessel Cloud Dance of the Stuart Corporation, we ask for clearance of the inner system and transport the Stuartian special envoy for the Sabai. Cloud Dance out."
They powered down their drive and waited. Sure, it was a brunt approach, but it was their style, and th Indashani should have left enough material about them in their databases.

Roma Republic, outside border
An equally beautiful and sleek vessel appeared at the borders of the small space the Roma Republic should occupy. Transmissions were sent to announce its presence as a diplomatic vessel carrying an ambassador to speak with the Roma.
***
Avalon System, Avalon Prime, Stuart Plaza
"Quite some traffic on th eir nets, your Grace," the avatar of Datasphere said.
"Yes, so it seems. The usual hassle going along new diplomatic missions."
"Shouldn't we invite others, as well?"
"No," she answered, her voice dripping with the usual arrogance the Stuarts regarded lesser nations. "Those who are interested, will ask. We do not run around like panicked animals and ask for it..."

The cloaked man watched the VGIN transmission with ever increasing sadness, he shook his head at the stupidity of the people he had to deal with. As the transmission ended, a hiss indicated the door of his quarters had opened, his aide came in, with an expression that his commander knew meant “ you have seen the broadcast as well then?
“Yes, it is most disturbing, sir”
“Agreed, the man is a fool for doing this, if he had more sense than ego, it would have been a worthy plan, if only the poor fool had followed the original plan…”
He glanced at another display, showing the current status of the ship, on another showed the exterior of the vessel, but no wisdom could be found within the swirling mass of hyperspace.
“Unless our dear Emperor apologises, then we should have an reason to redeploy our forces into territories we believe we should be in control of. I want to talk to the fleet commander in five minuets, get him here, wake him up if you need to. “
The aide glanced at his datapad
“Of course sir, I will see to it immediately”
It took less than three minuets for the fleet commander to be roused from his slumber, it took another two for him to make himself presentable
The cloaked man was not a man with many patience, he did not like having to wait longer then he planned to.
“You have heard what has happened I presume.”
“Yes, I have sir, although I don’t know wh-“
“You don’t know why it is important enough for me to wake you up. My foolish commander, as of the end of that broadcast, the Imperium has been removed from our list of safe ports, the place is liable to be attacked. We will have to seek a new home base, and be suspecious of those around us, this galaxy is not stable any longer, thanks to our dear old Emperor."
The Commanders eyes opened fully as comprehension dawned in his mind.
“My lord! Our fleet has no where else to go then! Apart from the Corporate Hegemony, we have no where to go!”
“ Yes Commander, I am very much aware of this fact, this is why I have awoken you from your slumber, as soon as the next shift of crew is in place, you will deploy immediately to find us a new location to investigate, I do not care whether the plan requires bribing a planets corrupt leaders, or whether we will need to charge in all guns blazing, but you WILL find me several new port for this fleet!”
“Yes Sir!”
At this, the cloaked man switched off his view screen indeed, the people he had to deal with were always two steps behind when it came to seeing the universe for what it really was: a giant chess board..
EDIT: Extensivly reworded while saying the same thing, many thanks to Dartzap for improving this.

The CorpSec representative's face didn't show any change of expression; it was a quite perfect poker face, perfected over years of bargaining. You had to be that way if you wanted to be a good PR representative in this galaxy.Darth_Zod wrote:an undersecretary, dressed modestly in a fashion that doesn't betray his station, though obivously an enhanced cyber judging from the metallic limbs, greets the representatives, as traffic about is quite busy, with humans, cybers and other oddities going about the dailiy hustle, bows respectfully to the representative.
regrettably chairman mbadi is presently occupied with negotiations elsewhere, however our vice president has been notified and is more than happy to conduct the negotiations for the contracts personally. if you'll accompany me to the elevators, i'll take you to the boardroom, and would be happy to provide any refreshments you might like in the meantime.
"Thank you," he replied, and followed the ambassador to the elevators.
After having some fairly typical refreshments, even if the ingredients were not fairly typical -- the concept of a Continental Breakfast was fairly widespread across human space in the galaxy -- he then followed the undersecretary to the Vice President's offices, where he exchanged plesantries before taking a seat.
"Now," he said, sliding a simple black IBM ThinkPad across the table, "on that datapad are the terms of our offer to you." He watched as the Vice-President picked up the datapad and scanned it. "Put simply, Sirius Cybernetics & Automation is offering you a five year limited licensing contract for certain models of cybernetics produced here in the Hegemony. The contract will allow Sirius Cybernetics to sell those models under their own brand, but you may not license the same models to any other company except your own. Upon expiration of the contract, you may either renew it for five or more years, or you may terminate it. In return, Sirius Cybernetics & Automation will pay your bulk price for the cybernetics plus five percent, and will provide you with the support of their engineers on furthering the development of the products. The Corporate Sector will give you a fifteen percent bulk discount on any spacecraft sold in the Sector. If you choose to terminate the contract after five years, any benefits associated with it will also be terminated." He leaned back in his seat. "Go ahead and take your time reviewing the terms, I'll wait for your response."

the vp quietly scanned over the documents, stroking his goatee. although he was well over 200 years old thanks to cybernetic rejuvination tech, it clearly didn't show. being one of the wealthiest members of the hegemony, he could obviously afford the best, as his cybernetic enhancements were almost lifelike, but with enough distinction to tell that they were artificial, almost like a form of art. on most worlds your clothes were a status symbol, but here how much you could upgrade your body was considered an even greater one.Crayz9000 wrote:

"An acceptable agreement. I'll prepare a list of models and parts we have fully tested and marked as suitable for public distribution. naturally other models are still in various beta stages and as a result unsuitable for licensing in public sectors. i'll forward this to the president, and after he approves the contract will send the final copy to your corporate offices, if this is agreeable. as i'm sure you know only the president can approve any off-world contracts, and as a result this may take a week or two. in the meantime if you wish to set up an exchange of ambassadors i'd be more than happy to see to the arrangements and provide quarters aboard tiphares." the vp smiled, having clearly done this many a time in the last 200 or so years.

Re: Purchase of Destroyers for patrol duty
We understand that several corporations in your space produce the Anzani-class Destroyer Escort. We would like to make some inquries about the ships effectiveness in repelling pirate attacks. As your government knows, the Empire, along with several other nations in our area of the Galaxy have suffered from a massive increase in pirate attacks over the last 50 years. Our fleet and the fleets of the other nations near our space are stretched to their limits repelling the constant attacks, and we believe that the Anzani-class Destroyer Escort could be a cost effective solution to our problem.

As for ambassadors, I have been instructed that we would be willing to set up an office here in exchange for your company setting up an office in the Sector. "We have no intentions of going to war against our neigbors. In the past, we made one mistake and followed a madman to war. We made one mistake, one mistake for which which everyone in the galaxy continues to condemn us fo. Even if we wanted to fight anyone, our fleet is seriously undersized due to fifty years of crippling trade sanctions enforced by YOUR government. Surely you know this, and surely you are smart enough to realize that destroyer escorts alone cannot conquer worlds. No, we do not need them for war, we need them to protect our people, because you have left us unable to do so. We ask that you allow us to make inquries to any corporation which produces these destroyer escorts, so we may stem the ever increasing tide of casualties due to pirate attacks."phongn wrote: A message was quickly sent back to the KSE over the lines. "Irregardless, the Star Kingdom takes a wary view of your nation's re-armament policies. Tranquility Yards will offer a 5% discount on the standard price of the warships if a comprehensive support contract is purchased as well. While low in maintenance costs, no ship is truly maintenance free. Your navy should find the rates quite acceptable. Shipment will take place immediately after signing of the contract at Tranquility Yards."

Where there is conquest, there are buzzards. The huge freighters of the Adeptus Mechanicus were like ringing dinnerbells to some portions of the human race, and the Corsair ships that had stalked this particular convoy were no exception.Captain tycho wrote:After the initial resistance on the more troublesome worlds had been quelched, huge supply fleets towing Adeptus Mechanicus workers and equipment set out from various fleet bases towards what had now been dubbed the Crusade Worlds. If all went according to plan, Imperial citizens would arrive within a few months for resettlement.
What transitioned into the path of their prey was mind-blowing: A warship nearly seventy kilometers in length, bristling with weaponry, flanked by over two dozen smaller vessels. Ionic fire roared through space, as the Psychopath and it's escorts sought to capture the ripe plunder of a colonial fleet.
Fleet preying on Tycho's new acqusitions: 1 Psychopath Battleship, 12 Gangster Cruisers, 36 Unrelenting Frigates, 1 Long Haul Fleet Tender.

"The recent actions undertaken by your government are deeply worrying to those governments which seek a degree of unity and civility in the Galactic East. Your recent attacks on undefended, peaceful worlds paint your government as a source of aggression and violence.
Our problems with your action are twofold. Firstly, your attacks are at their base imperialist and brutal, striking against poorly equipped and peaceful peoples with weapons of mass destruction. This policy, which is dehumanising and brutal, can not be allowed if any sort of reconstruction can be achieved in the regions known as the "Great Wastes." The nations of the ERTC can not stand aside uncaring while basic human rights are violated repeatedly by your rampaging armies.
Secondly, your attacks have attracted forces which are destabilising to the region and dangerous for trade. Reports of significant fleets of Black Alliance vessels have reached our ears. Your actions threaten to turn back the clock on a half-century of effort by the Eastern powers in rolling back piracy and fostering a return of commerce. This consequence of your actions, which you failed to consider, harms all nations and makes your little war of aggression our concern.
This being the case, the Eastern Rim Trade Compact has convened, and decided that your actions are a destabilizing influence which must stop immediately. We call upon you, with the voice of organized sentience and civility, to withdraw your vessels and soldiers from the conquered worlds immediately. Failure to do so will result in the incitement of more strict measures from the Compact. Should you agree, you have our assurances that the Eastern Rim Trading Compact will take the steps necessary to ensure that the piracy your acts have incited is put down.

(For people sending envoys, whenever they arrive)
Upon arrival, you find yourself in a system with two scorched rocks, one developed inhabited world, one asteroid belt, and three gas giants. A moderate amount of space traffic traverses the area. If there was ever a requirement for an 'average major world' for the Encyclopedia Galactica, Pardah would be it.
Diplomatic arrivals are checked briefly, greeted, and directed to their preference of the civilian space station in orbit, or a spaceport on the planet below.

We, therefore, offer a deal between our two peoples, despite our.. Rocky relationships thus far. An agreement against those pirate fiefdoms and violent gangs in the Galactic East. We will provide the firepower, the Commonwealth will provide resupply and repair, in addition to a negotiable amount of the plunder from the bases destroyed.
As a gesture of goodwill, to prove our wish to stabalize your region of space, we will even offer an across-the-board discount on tribute for companies in your nation.. A small fee in exchange for no interference from the Corsairs.
