I hate Youko; she stops boosts, doesn't do a thing about the two guys, and is only useful maybe 1/7th of the time by keeping you from being stopped by Misato.

I don't know her role in the PC game, but through the twisted perspective of wanting women to hit the protagonist in Nanaca Crash, I consider her to be quite the cock-blocker.

Youko has specials too. Occasionally, this thing'll pop up in the specials box. Has her face, and someone else's.

If you hit the someone else person while you're in "Youko mode" and you click you'll engage one of her specials, depending on who you got.

I've had three so far. One makes you bounce higher and higher per bounce, another doubles all the girls' power, and the third shoots you off sideways like a rocket and gives you some 1000 free meters.

I know, but it's a mere pittance compared to the dozens upon dozens of times she's screwed me over. I've gotten more Misato specials nearly back-to-back than Youko specials.

Never got a Misato special back-to-back, but I have never, EVAR gotten a Youko special... who doe she have to it for it?
