Finally, the Aegis Exordium- extra-galactics, these creatures are mercurial and very hedonistic. They helped in the war against the Azegart as well. Their goals are hard to comprehend, and they rarely intervene in international politics."

The HAB is interested in purchasing several Hirsch products. However we must first make several inquires about them, the possibility of modifications during construction, and their construction time.

There is concern that even when folded the sailing equipment may block fields of fire to an unacceptable degree. HAB would like to know the land area equipments of this system, and the feasibility of mounting one or more on a rebuilt superfreighter in the 20 kilometer range.

"We call our planet Slothus VI, it is lightly forested planet. Our capital city is Main. We have a democratic sytem, everyone who passes our politicl test may vote, we hold logic of our government very highly. We have decided that as a sociaty to re-enter galactic affairs, we are looking for allies and trade partners. We're hoping to gather tech and wealth and make our planets defensable against attacking powers. As we speak new starships are being tested and planets being explored and mined. The relevant specifications and data on hyperwarp sails will be transmitted at once. Our primary concern is as mentioned space for installation and storage of the sails Though we assume we are correct in assuming that the platforms design provides space for upgrades.

As for the accommodations, the main requirement is the installation of a great many waterways and swimming pools, along with associated filtration equipment, to allow large beavers to move about quickly and take part in recreational activities.

The hypermatter reactor is a separate installation, and is not included in the purchase price. However, a suitable reactor can be added to the system at a discount price.

With those questions answered, the HAB would like a price quote for the installation of four PDC-1250 turbolasers with reactors on four superfreighters. We would like the reactors to be overpowered, so that we may run additional lesser weapons and enhanced shields off of them in the future.

The decision on the Defense Platform's is to be deferred until the sail feasibility study is completed.

Aregath system, outer skirts

"Do you have anything on the scanners?" Captain DeMjell asked his sensor tech.
"No, sir. After the initla spike, we haven't been able to pick anything up."
They were sent out to investigate a obscure signal picked up by Control Station not long ago.
"Well, conti-"
suddenly, space was awash with light. Scores of missiles launched themselves from stealthed batteries, energy lashed out at them. The destroyer shook, and was able to redirect or absorb most of the enregy weapons, but some went through. Alarms whailed and red points started to appear on the ship's status board.
"Status?" he barked.
"Mild damage to the starboard batteries, anxillary reactor 4 is in automated shut-down."
More information poured into him through his neural link. So far, it did look barely good.

The missiles came shrieking in. The ship's battered shields flickered from the onsluaght, which would have given a battlecruiser a pause. One warhead managed to slam through the massive shielding and gravitonic distortion of the drive, and exploded.

A totally new set of alarms went shrieking on the bridge.
"The Torch is hit, and getting unstable, sir! the chief engineer informed him over Milsphere.
"Detach the Torch!" he barked.
The Torch, a massive square of drive unit, slowly was detached from its holding. As soon as they were clear, thrusters flared and tried to put as much space between them and the Torch.
But it was too late. The Torch's destabilized grav coils built up more and more gravity until to the point it couldn't control it anymore.

The explosion could be seen from Aregath itself.

Avalon Prime

The three gargantuan forts slowly surfaced from Avalon Prime, pulled up by towing ships towards the orbit. They took their position in the inner shell of the defense grid, immediately going active.

Behind and around them, score of smaller ships raced out from their yards to their new positions, and even some large vessels were already completed.

"Roger that, commencing scan now. As for worls of commerce, we can send a shuttle over with starcharts of relevant worlds. The Corporate Sector is willing to sell virtually anything and everything. There are several major commerce worlds in the Kingdom but we are aligned more towards service industries than heavy industry.
