"Oh please. Beings who live in cities without showers are afraid of a little trudge in the muck." Malkamar shook his head. "I'll go. Just look for whichever part of the city becomes structurally unstable."

"Well then," Gaheris said as he leaped onto Percival's back, "let's get moving. Torma, you want me to fly wing cover for you? Been a while since I've had a wingman, and I've never had a wingdragon." He laughed as he flipped the reins a bit, starting Percival on a slow walk towards the longest open area in the courtyard.

"Agreed"

With that, Astinius springs high into the air, better to be at a high altitude than be vulnerable to attack

I assume the rest of you have a way to transport yourselves

Gaheris chuckled and flipped the reins hard. Percival gathered his haunches and leapt into the air, lionlike, before spreading his wings wide to either side and catching the air. As much of a joy as they were to fly, the griffon method of taking off always jarred Gaheris. He bent low over Percival's neck when they were aloft, urging him to his full speed to overtake the wizard and fall in next to him.

[Wait, shouldn't we let the others get into position before launching an aerial assault?]

Torma bounced up and down on all fours. Yes! Yes! Percival has been wanting to fly with me, he says....

Torma took a couple bounding steps with get up the momentum to leap into air. Race you, Astinius! Great beats of her wings drove the small dragon skywards, the early morning light flashing off her bright bronzed scales

Torma flew playfully through the air, although she did not let herself get too distracted from their mission. Still, she enjoyed showing off, flying in close synchronation with Percival, then suddenly breaking off to flip herself around and under Astinius, trying to get as close as possible without touching him with wing or tail.

Erhart lifted a brow and shook his head

"That mount will serve you no use in the sewers."

With a light pull of the Reins, Erhart drew Thunder around to turn and start down out the abbey and in the direction of the tower in the backdrop, moving at a light trot for now to keep the warhorse from tiring too early.

Gaheris was feeling the joy of flight as he hadn't done in a long time. Perhaps Torma's spiritedness was infectious. Whatever it was, he didn't care. They were off on another quest, but no reason why they couldn't have some fun on the way.

He grinned, bent low over Percival's neck, and whispered into his ear. The griffon let out a cry that sort of sounded like a half-laugh before doing a barrel roll followed by a right corkscrew to take himself and Gaheris into a full rotation around the young dragon. Gaheris tossed his head back and laughed as they flew along, thoroughly overjoyed that this flight was, for the moment, a fun outing and not just another combat mission like most of his other flights. And who knows, it might turn out to be just another joyride. All they had about the tower's occupancy was an educated guess, after all...

Astinius joined in on the fun. He to enjoyed flight almost as much as he enjoyed the magic that powered it. The air flowed over his hair and skin, his blue robes billowing in the air. He was more maneuverable than the other two, and literally flew in around and between them both in a massive spiral.

"Not much to say." Malkamar replied as he walked down the street. "I was born in the City of Shade, out on the Plane Of Shadow. A series of events forced me to Faerun a little earlier than my cousins.. Quite a bit earlier, really.." He shrugged. "What do you want to know? It's so different from the society out here. I was slated for a research assistant job in the Planar Academy. Now I run around in old armor and get buildings dropped on me."
