Erhart rode ahead at a slow pace towards the tower as his golden armour shined against the sunlight, leading the mount with what seemed like lethargic energy, but it was far from it. Every inch the mount moved, he was alert to and watching with a keen eye. Years of combat had taught him to be ready at a moment's notice, even when it seemed just too peaceful to be true.

He would be the vanguard into the front entrance into the tower. Sundering the doors with Thunder's strokes should not be a problem and then it was simply a case of riding in and slaying every piece of undead filth in sight.

Those flying to the target naturally arrived first. They circled high over the small tower. It did not appear that they had been seen. There was light cloud cover, but the sky was mostly clear.

Gaheris peered down at their target, all thoughts of play shoved to the back of his mind. They weren't even sure if the tower was occupied, but if it was this would be an interesting day... Suddenly he heard Percival's voice in his mind. 'There's a man down there,' "said" the griffon. 'He just went inside from the high rock. Why humans don't stay out in the pleasant heights I'll never understand.' Gaheris plunged his head over the griffon's side for a look, but it was indeed too late. He called over to Astinius. "The tower's occupied. There was just a man on the roof, but he went inside."

Down below the fliers, Malkamar led the way into the gloom and gunk of the sewers, immediately providing light via his Spellfire Sword. "Not the most pleasant place in the Realms, this. Come on, let's find them.."

Rats scurry by and scuttle as close to the walls and far from you as possible. Beyond the light radius of the spells and spellfire, the sewers fade into shadows and wavering light.

[Spot checks all around for those in the sewer.]

His target in sight, Erhart drew the longsword from it's scabbard and into his hand, with a silent mental command to Thunder, the mount sped up on the approach to the doors of the tower and then slowed, following Erhart's urging to back up onto his hind legs carefully and batter his front two hooves against the wooden door to bring his full might down on the door in an attempt to Sunder it

(Mount has str 20, I'll let ya roll)

The gate shuddered, but did not break. You hear a muffled shout from inside. [Got a 10 total on the check. Sorry.]

Lazerus: You see a sort of hunched over shape in the darkness up ahead. You can barely make it out, and can't tell what exactly it may be.

I cast Light on one of the pesudo-replicators. (just somthing enchanted with animate object with Persistant spell). And order it to scout foreward.

Erhart looked almost frustrated with the door and drew back the reins once more to continue trying to smash down the gates. He snarled it out in a zealous cry in responce to the shout

"Justice comes for you!"

A gigantic rat leaps out of the darkness ahead, making for the light source. It leaps on the replicator and begins chewing. [Hits AC 21, 3 damage dealt, reduced by hardness to 0.]

The gates groan and begin to buckle, but hold for the moment.

[23 on the check. Normally there's no mechanic for weakening the door, but I'll ad hoc a weakness for getting close; otherwise it'll take you forever to get in.]
