Neat job with the map Pabs, looks cool, though wouldn't Sea Skimmer be a bit farther west? Also, everything south of the blue is mine, my homeland is going to be Arabia (My imagination was stolen from me as a child.) It looks really really good though.

Has anyone called Germanny yet?

If so just give me a medium-sized part of Russia.

You called the equivalent of Greece and Macedonia. If you wanted Thrace you should have said so.

Ok, here's the drill.

Hotfoot and I would like to be mods.

Some issues to be adressed:

1. The Map: Mine isn't pretty, but I like all the weird bays and the "Hitler's Dream" interconnectedness of the Continent.

2. Powers. Everyone interested, PM me or Hotfoot with your power's name, concept, status as Grand, Medium, or Regional, and where you want to put it. Hotfoot and I will review all of them. the MAJORITY of players will come in with Regional or Medium powers. I think we'l have maybe 3-4 Grand Powers, if that.

3. Flying Units: Magical flying machines are cool, but keep in mind that if you start fielding high-magic superweapons like airships and gyrocopters, you will not be able to field many, and your conventional forces will suffer.

Magic weapons and monsters eat up regiment space in your army. If you field a couple regiments of dragon cavalry, you'll have to have far fewer conventional units.

4. Pablo, interested in co-modding?

Actually, I think the fairest way to choose who gets the grand power is to randomly choose who get to be one. No one gets to declare that they are a grand power.

I think my map is being used, pretty much. I want more discussion on the fates of certain areas, though.
I like the craters. Hotfoot is making one now.

You like... the craters? To produce that many craters of those proportions, there would have been multiple ELEs striking the same area of the world simultaneously. I don't like it, it doesn't make sense. It makes more sense to have a pseudo-Europe.

My map has been taken down as of...now... though. Waiting for Hotfoot.

Your army can consist of tinsel people from Venus, as long as the more powerful your regiments become, the fewer they are in number.

A little messy, but I'll be cleaning it up shortly.

The map

Edit: The nasty little lines have been removed. Enjoy!

Nice looking.

So I have Ireland and northern Britain unless someone claims England? Where's my border currently? Hadrian's Wall?

Yup, just about.

Hotfoot has been talking to me about army sizes. In stead of a maximum number, we will have an average. Have more than the average, and your troops are conscripts and barbarians galore. Less, and your soldiers are more professional and welll-equipped.

You can (and may want to) spend regiments on naval vessels, monsters, or air units (Dragon Cavalry!)

Grand Powers field an average of 50 regiments.
Medium Powers field an average of 35 regiments.
Regional Powers field an average of 15 regiments.

Do you really want regional powers to have less than half the power of the next tier up? That's a very steep drop off, especially compared to the difference between medium and grand.

Yup. I expect to see cagey Great Powers and a lot of politicking amongst the little guys to help each other out.

Yeah, I'm just glad I'm way the hell away from all the grand powers thus far.
