as our nations are very close and had good relations in the past, but it seems that danger is upon us all from the east, we strive to improve our relationship. The Empire has been concentrating on itself for too long, and must look across its borders.
We hope to come to a even more peaceful and friendly relationsjip between our countries.

With growing concern we hear the news about the power of the fanatical jihaddis that from their desertic homeland have carved a bloody path through the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The recent destruction of a nation proves that we can't deal with them, unless we are willing to accept their three gods as the only true religion and join their Jihad, something that we can't accept.

We are willing to support and join any alliance against the jihaddis and we propose that as of now our navies cooperate in preventing the Jihad from setting foot in Europe. They are strong in numbers, but they lack a fleet powerful enough to force the crossing of the straits against our joint efforts.

Your neutrality in the eastern Mediterranean area have allowed both our nations to profit greatly from trade, but now the shores closer to your island are now under control of a bunch of fanatics that intend to impose their religion to the whole world, drowning in blood those who might fight them and that have already caused a severe disruption of trade in the eastern Mediterranean.

We believe that a general agreement among all the powers threatened by the Jihad should join a general defensive pact against aggression from the hordes of the Three Gods. We also consider than an exchange of ambassadors among our nations would strengthen the friendly relations among our nations in this dark hour.

As of late, the barbarian Jihad of the Three Gods has covered many cities and nations with its shadow. Their current expansion will allow them to reach our borders in a few months and we are well aware of the fact that our forces will be unable to defeat them alone.

As you are most certainly aware, should the great barbarian horde defeat us and cross the Dardaneles, no power in this region of Europe has the strength needed to face their might. If all the powers in this area join forces now, we will be able to ensure that the barbarians never again threaten our homelands. We are, individually, weak nations and easy prey for the bigger nations, but together we will be a force to be reckoned. In this spirit, we suggest a defensive pact against the Jihad now that might give birth to a full alliance in the future.
